Tecnically it was a prolonged battle but most of it was off panel
eventually lobo and wolverine were fighting thanos for a while

I've got the comic, HJ! If you can tell me in B&w/Print where it is stated that Galactus is/was protected by DC's source wall, which has nothing to do with Galactus or marvel and bares no relevence to them, why would it protect him? Galactus is not the alpha and omega in DC, and if DS could wipe him from existance, he would have, cause Galactus bares no relevance to DC, which is why what your saying makes no sense :-)

Darkseid's omega effect is very simple. It will kill you, or if you are important to the universe, it will not. Now galactus s pretty much the most important thing in the universe because without him it can't exist, so it is natural that the source (DC equivalent of Eternity, and also the being from whom the omega beams come and who governs them) would not allow Darkseid to erase him.
LOL DS omega beams work like this they erase street levelers, and mid tiers, and maybe very low top tiers. They have yet to erase a character that is mid to High top tier or better, so I guess everybody is important to the universe in his eyes LOL. DS has a chance to beat a totally starved out Galactus other than that DS loses and bad even PC DS unless he has the ALE or something. Galactus is above skyfather level he will dominate DS.

I know what you mean. But at least he's posting scans to support his decision.
That takes precedence over someone who walks into a thread, states a character and bashes anyone who challenges it without backing it up with a scan or two. Then arguments wage on for pages on end without any conclusion being reached.
Some people do the latter, and they are far more annoying.
PC Darseid controls 3 billions Daxamite minds with ease. At the same time as this mind control. he also teleports 2 entire planets at the same time across potentially hundreds of light years. His omega beams where not limited as they are now. I'll post scans later.
Most of the scans posted so far (apart from 2) would appear to be post crisis Darkseid, whose Omega effect and physical powers are less than those of PC Darkseid.
PC Darkseid, not only having strength sufficient to meet PC Superman (easily move planets) in hand to hand combat effectively but also the speed to do so and the durability to take energy blasts from beings a lot more powerful than PC Superman (Mordru, Time Trapper) and punches from several beings as strong as PC Superman at the same time.
His omega beams where not limited as they are in the post crisis universe. They were capable of disintegrating almost any being, travelling through dimensions, not simply around objects to hit beings, could restore beings from death and teleport them through time and space. In the 30th Century (Legion of Superheroes time), PC Darkseid's mental and mystic abilities were shown to be massive and this was only when he was regaining him strength - reaching his former levels. He mentally dominated an entire planet of 3 billion Daxamites (those beings similar to Kryptonians), mentally enslaving them and controlling their actions over galactic distances.
With a brief use of his Omega Beams (and not wishing to kill him as he wanted information), PC Darkseid ko'ed Mon-el (who was as powerful as PC Superman). In less than a second, he had read all there was to know from Mon-el's mind.
PC Darkseid took on and beat Mordru, who was described by the legion as being as powerful as the entire Legion of Superheroes, who was the most powerful magic user in the 30th century (a former Lord of Chaos). He also defeated Time Trapper, another being at least as powerful as the entire Legion, who managed to steal a fraction of a second of time from the history of the universe and duplicate the entire universe - thus creating his own pocket dimension. And on top of all that he has beaten the Legion. It was only the intervention of Highfathers 'spirit' that permitted them to be healed and engage PC Darkseid in battle again.
