Darkseid vs Atrocitus

Well we haven't seen much of the current version of Darkseid yet but if you go with what Darkseid usually is then I would say Darkseid.

Darkseid stomps assuming this is pre-Flashpoint.

@Deathcry: What comic is that image of Darkseid from? Who's idea was it to give him a neck brace and shoulder pads?

That's the cover of Justice League issue 6 which is coming out in February. It was Jim Lee who drew that image so I'm guessing it was his idea. I think the design looks pretty cool but I don't really like the shoulder pads much either.

Ahhhh hence the reason he looks like a crippled Apocalypse. Man, Jim Lee just doesn't have the same appeal to me, as he did when he drew Hush. The times are changing....

Darkseid. He could effortlessly break through Hal Jordan's constructs, and even if you assume Jordan's constructs have gotten stronger since then, isn't Jordan able to fight Atrocitus on a roughly equal field? Which means Darkseid has quite a good chance of winning.

besides Larfleeze and white lanterns, Atrocitus is above all the other lanterns in power and strength.

I'm assuming not as if the character is not stated an era we go by the current versions, not to mention the picture is new 52 Darkseid :)

Anyways I'm going Atrocitus if this new 52 DS

@clark_el: Darkseid can still effortlessly take down Hal, which puts him about equal with Atrocitus by those showings. Plus Omega Beams can take out Supes, so they should at a minimum wreck Atrocitus up without KO'ing him as they did to Supes.

Darkseid should be able to stomp any Lantern say for guys like Mongul (nabby), Larfleeze, Superboy-Prime, Cyborg Superman, any Black or White Lanterns and Any of the Lantern Entitys of course.

i think darkseid might have a slight chance in this battle his omega beams are more powerful than atrocitus blood like acid. but atrocities can heal quicker. he might be able to throw darkseid in deep space he can fly out of deep space while darkseid can't. and atrocitus survived his heart being taken out so hell survive the omega beams.

you mist one atrocitus. cus he's just as strong as darkseid. and as i said atrocities could just throw darkseid in deep space were darkseid can't fly out of. or atrocitus could go in close combat and destroy his omega beams like wonder and aqua did. so i think atrocities wins slightly.

Wow, people really underrestimate Atrocitus in here.. I think Darkseid would win too but its nowhere near the stomp people keep saying.

This is exactly what i think. Atrocitus could match Darkseid in close combat, if he used the Ring to make armour or boxing gloves, etc, and maintained it. They both have some serious long-ranged attacks, and while Darkseid's is probably better, what with the Omega Beams killing everything and homing in on their targets, Atrocitus has the more versatile long-ranged attacks, and could bombard Darkseid, distract him, trap him, and so on, albeit probably temporarily. They're both brutal, but i'm pretty sure Atrocitus is more likely to charge in all guns blazing than Darkseid, but i'm not sure who is more skilled, and i'm not sure how long the Ring's constructs would survive against the Omega Beams...

I wouldn't say Atro is being underestimated, but he's been inconsistant recently. One moment he's soloing StormWatch that includes the likes of Apollo and MM, the next he's getting curbstomped/solo'd by Guy Gardner *throws hands up*. I'm inclined to think if he wouldn't fare well against that Darkseid pimphand

Darkseid. But Atrocitus is gonna put up a fight. He once outmuscled Apollo an' Martian Manhunter on his own while he was in a weakened, depowered state. He should be able ta muscle with Darkseid too, but not outmuscle him. Darkseid is bigger, stronger an' more powerful than Atrocitus, an' let's not forget 'bout the Omega Effect, massive size+brute strength+raw power+Omega Effect=SUPER PUNCH an' his Omega Beams can probably burn more a**es than Atrocitus's Red Lantern spewin' napalm. Darkseid wins, but not easily.

are you those both in new 52 because atrocitus is much more powerful in new 52. and so is darkseid. in new 52 darkseid is really really fast. he is able to dodge a flash punch. he's reaching supermans speed. i know he looks slow and acts calm at first. but when he's in anger mode it's a different story. plus his omega beams. no matter what atrocitus it is darkseid wins. plus can i say with darkseids new speed he would totally own thanks. no matter if thanos has got his gauntlets on thanos would get much more punches

Darkseid either Pre or Post-Flashpoint wins comfortably.

Getting blinded by Aquaman's trident and Wonder Woman's sword forged by her brother aren't exactly low showings. I mean he was still standing and crushing Superman.

Darkseid has ravaged alternate worlds and slain deities. I think he wins.

Atrocitus's acid blood ripped a hole in reality. Omega beams feats are so inconsistent.. they've been deflected by so many. They both had their hearts ripped out before.

Are you saying Darkseid can stop Larfleeze? If you're saying these are the ones Darksied CANT beat well then you're proving that Atrocitus wins if you're saying he can't beat any black lantern when Atrocitus took on 4.

i know!, and i hate Guy Gardner, so that loss is personal to me, however i do thing Darkseid wins, but IMM and IMO Atrocitus my man goes down, but he goes down fighting, not like Hal Jordan getting his arm broken lol, Darkseid 8/10

If Atrocitus fights darkseid physically he has a bit a better chance but if energy abillities would be engaged I don't see how he comes out as winner
