Movie universe? Thanos will probably end up being a better villain, because the only way to truly show darkeid as a villain, would be to go to unimaginable threat levels, but that is too much for movies.

Darkseid is 100% gonna be a bigger threat, Superman fought off bigger enemies than the avengers in his solo movie, there is no way Thanos can be stronger than Darkseid and go against the avangers without killing them all, even with all the people who will join in the future.

I think Darkseid in a DCU movie would be really bad. Because when people see another big monster guy with blue tights and a weird chin, Infinity War will make him look like a rip off. In the movie competition, you gotta admit it...

For me its Thanos.

Thanos actually does stuff himself while he forges alliances to assist him in his purpose.Darkseid just sits in a freakin chair and counts the stars until a hero falls in his domain.Then he will use the almighty omega beams which never work properly.

I generally feel more threatened by a guy who seeks to kill everything than one who looks to enslave it.

Any of you actually watched the Marvel movies? there biggest weakness is how badly they portray the villains.

@dextersinister: they are too comedic and not a serious threat to the Heroes like Zod, Lex Luthor, Reverse Flash.

Ultron seems like a dark and real threat to be honest.

Better Villain (Acting capability) : Unknown as we have not yet seen Darkseid.

Better Potential Story? : Thanos. He has way more story arcs as a main threat / villain than Darkseid does. Being played by Josh Brolin is definitely going to make the movie go a lot smoother as well since he even looks like Thanos.

Bigger Threat : That is arguable. Depending how far they take the MCU, Thanos could get the HOTU or it could even go beyond Thanos and introduce bigger threats that were involved in his stories such as Baron Karza, Collector (tricking Thanos), Dark Thanos, and honestly I can go on and on and on. Joss Whedon has even specified he may introduce characters not shown in the trailer / movie poster / adverts.

So after all of that, we can't really judge Darkseid that far but as in potential story Thanos stomp because of being in sooooooo many story arcs / story lines.
