Darkseid (New 52) vs The Avengers

Main Idea

Well we've all seen the Justice League fight him in their first issues and in the movie "Justice League: War" so I was wondering how well The Avengers would do against the New God who slapped Superman around and sent Wonder Woman back to the kitchen to make him a sandwich.Darkseid is planning to take over the Gotham City and The Justice League is on vacation so they got The Avengers to fill in while they were gone.,The Avengers show up a few minutes later to take him on but the battle just happens to be in Crime Alley for some reason and don't ask me why just go along with it.

• Morals on for Darkseid

• Morals off for The Avengers.

• No BFR.

• The Avengers only include the ones in the picture.

• No prep for both characters.

• No outside help.

• The Avengers are going with their Marvel Now incarnations.

• Avengers are willing to go all out.

• Winner is decided by death or KO.

• Feats only from New 52 Darkseid.

• Random encounter for Darkseid.

• No fanboys allowed.

Most of the street levelers are going to be canon fodder for the Omega Beams, but combined with the heavyweights (Hulk, Thor, Hype, Capt. U) they should be able to take Darkseid down with some casualties.

Unless Tony can boost Hulk's power by making him angrier than ever than Darkseid murderstomps....

Even if he does boost his powers Darkside still wins, just not as much

Captain Universe gives team the win barely

Current Hickman's Avengers? That's a very strong squad: Thor, Hulk, Hyperion, Captain Universe, Star Brand.

Meh based on my own opinion I think Darkseid has this.

What we can work with

• Shows up and for either future plot or PIS leaves the JL alone when they are at his mercy
• Subdues Superman with one shot
• On durability takes WW sword directly to the eye with no noticeable after affect, something that could slice through Clark and Doomsday.
• gets BFR but is laughing about it when he gets home over his collection of dead Supes
• Destroyed a planet

Implied power

• His daughter said that they would need that reality warping crystal to stand a chance, the same daughter who mind wiped the lot of them and as stated in Vibe could seal off interdimensional travel.
• Anti-Monitor needs to absorb power from more universes before he can face him.

• The new gods have featured heavily across the DC line and will feature heavily in the next crisis and most likely tie in with Multiversity so it could very well tie in with pre-52

Darkseid.

How many Superman level guys are in that picture besides Thor? I don't F with Marvel enough know their characters, but N52 Darkseid got an upgrade. It took all 7 members of the JL to hurl him back into the Boomtube.

Not beat him, not badly injure him, just to push him back.

Avengers. Thor with time to use his heavy hits is easily capable of taking down a single Darkseid avatar.

Avengers, good battle.

(Thor, Genis-vell, Hyperion, Hulk and Starbrand) can win this, with extreme damage.

I think Hyperion survived the collision of 2 universes, and stopped them for a very short while, so he can keep up with the damage of the omega beams. everyone else dies, exempt for the ones mentioned.

Darkseid.The guy killed some gods and got there power what you think he is going to do with some Avengers.They could not even defeat Thanos.Plus new 52 Darkseid is on another level.

@superguy1591: Superman's striking power is rather poor in comparison to Thor's charged strikes. The only reason they seem equal is because in their fights it's understood that Thor should never have time to use said strikes.

Well, I mean that's assuming Darkseid doesn't just spam Omega beams at everyone from the very beginning and incinerate/KO all of them.

@sophia89: He knock him down.Then in the next scene we see him holding him up with the portal behind him everybody knows when thor open a portal he has to spin his hammer to do it so it takes time.If you are thor fan even you should know this.

Thor, Hyperion, Sentry, Hulk, etc. combined take it. Especially since Thor's fight with Gorr was Marvel NOW and that's one of his best showings IMO.

If Star Brand is in this (with Hickmans Avengers) then the team could win.

If not, we'll Lightseid wins

I'm going Avengers here. I think they could match up to his strength easily, and Cap is a better tactician than Batman, so I see that working in their favor here.

BUT. Why is it morals on for the Avengers? This is a flippin space titan! Why would they be holding back?

Finally.

Darkseid sends out his beams that will end this pretty fast.

Cap's shield is almost their only chance but since Steve doesn't have the reaction for it he will most likely end up as ash like the rest.

@sophia89: First off how do you even know that only took a second?Those scans never even mentioned the time it took to do so.For all we know one panel could be freaking thirty minutes or something.

Not gonna lie I'm siding with Darkseid here but how exactly do the Avengers survive the Omega Beams?Darkseids physical strength already outclasses Superman and Wonder Woman and lolstomped the Justice League like it was just another normal day invading a freaking planet.It took the entire Justice League to push Darkseid into a boom tube to bfr him and I don't mean heavily injure or something I mean they literally had to give it their all to push Darkseid into a boom tube and send him back to Apokalipse.And Thor won't be much of a problem since I consider his durability to be a bit lower than Supes Darkseid could probably KO him with the Omega Beams.Sentry won't be a problem since Darkseid could just bfr him or set up the Agony Matrix on him which is probably IIRC equivalent to his worst pain ever felt times a thousand.He can also mind control a few street levelers to hold off the Avengers while he finishes them one by one.But yeah who am I kidding I don't think he'd have to try that hard.

Has darkseid done anything after his villains month issue? Because if not I don't see him winning this. Thor alone in marvel now was destroying planets in his fight with Gorr and taking stabs from the necro sword. Yea he has his low showings (Cornell and Slott) but he does still have his very impressive showings.....And Hyperion was able to stop the rogue planet which is not only an impressive strength feat but would actually double as a durability feat. Those 2 alone aren't that far off from Darkseid from what I have seen. And IIRC Star brand and night mask were holding there own against hulk, hyperion, and thor and were doing well so they seem to be in the same tier as darkseid as well. And what resistance to transmutation has darkseid shown in the new 52? Because theres also captain universe.

Sentry's definitely in that picture. Hyperion might not be though.
