@lukehero: Those first few days after it aired, there must have ben 30 variations of the basic, 'Which is better, Daredevil or Arrow/The Flash?' or derivations thereof. Honestly, I simply don't think they are in the same ballpark. What's more, I don't think Arrow is even trying to be what DD is in the first place.
I agree, I'm glad Whedon has gone, his shortcomings really showed in AoU, the things I felt were lurking under the surface in A1 but held back due to Whedon's lack of control really came to the fore. While he does have his strengths and I did actually enjoy AoU, I'm not really into Whedon's approach/tonality overall.
Yeah, I'm really excited to see what they can do, the Russos really showed a solid grasp of these characters and the world of Marvel in TWS. I hope they can bring more tangibility to the action, rather than a lot of the videogamey sequences we got in AoU, as well as a downplaying of the humour, hopefully doling it out to the proper characters for comic relief, rather than having nearly every hero, regardless of whether or not it is in his or her character to do so, spout semi-witty nonsense at inappropriate moments.
