In the first game Dante had to escape from the Island that the game took place on before it blew up, so I'm pretty sure that blast from Ghost Rider would kill Dante.

I don't see Dante doing lasting damage to GR either.  I also don't see GR doing anything that would keep Dante down except maybe penace stare and chances on him getting that on Dante aren't the best.  Out of ten fights I'd say GR wins one due to penace stare.  The other 9, they get bored and find something better to do.

GR is not even equal!!

Ghost Rider's Penance stare is just to much for any one person to take on alone, anyways Is johnny blaze allowed to tag in with Zarathos?

Penace stare wouldn't work on him at any rate!!

1. Has Ghost Rider ever performed a penance stare on a high level demon before?  
2. What has Dante done to receive a penance stare that would make him lose? He has only killed to save the world, and the things he killed arguably have no soul but were demons. 
3. Has demonic weapons hurt the Ghost Rider before? 
 
Dante has never been shown to get hurt my almost anything. His healing factor is so great if not instant upon receiving injury. At no point was Dante really in any kind of danger in his career besides his fight with Virgil in wich he did not die but got his Devil Trigger activated to only become stronger. 
 
Dante has demonstrated strength in the 100 ton class as well as having bullet time speed and agility rivaling that of Spider-man's.  
 
Not sure who would win. I need to do some research on Ghost Riders losses and what has hurt him. 

GR's flame doesn't hurt's him bt Dante is superior in strength, speed etc.......both GR and Dante are near immoral... bt the fact Dante hasn't achieved his full power yet....in his realm Sparda is a god....Dante still has lot to learn..bt he do not have even near strength to his father in not to distant future he will achieve even greater power....

Dante isn't winning this one.

@SwaggaB0y: penance stare wont do anything to dante. hes pure even though hes half demon. hes been fighting demons since he was a teenager.

yes penance stare wouldn't work. his soul is pure and he is innocent and a good person and he always protected the world for mankind ...

Give me one example where the Penance stare -didn't- work due to a pure soul? Just one. And I'l agree with you.

If its Johnny Blaze then I see GR winning any other GR then Dante will win. Johnny Blaze with "safety off" is just to beastly.

Ghost Rider

Tell me why GR would win??!! Dante is stronger he has stopped nearly the force of 1000ton without getting scratched he possesses super speed.....he can take almost any damage and can recover from them very immediately, with Alastor and Ifrit he can access his inner unlimited power, with the sword of Sparda he have god like power, with Yamato he can cut through everything even space itself , his sword Rebellion is unbreakable and can cut through spirits and souls and he also possesses an Invincible Devil Trigger which haven't reached it's full power yet.....!! Do u still think GR can win.....GR's most powerful weapon is Penance stare which can only work if he catches up with Dante and even if works Dante would recover from it as Dr. Strange did....and GR's hellfire also wouldn't work as he already have been shown to be immune against hellfire he can also use hellfire as well...!!

These two are one of my favorite characters of all time. 
 
Dante would lose, though. GR is too powerful.

What make u think it's possible they are not even equal....Dante is far more powerful and superior in evrything then GR... It's not possbile for GR to beat him at any rate...

I think Ghost RIder takes this. Dante has him beat in Strength, Speed, and Agility. He also has more versatility, and an arsenal of different weapons at his disposal. However, the Ghost Rider has only really been shown getting hurt by divine weapons. Additionally, I think it has been stated on multiple occasions that "Only God created them, and only God can destroy them". I believe it took one of the Celestials to destroy the Ghost Rider. So yes, Dante outclasses the Ghost Rider in almost every way as a fighter, but unfortunately he could never destroy the Ghost Rider. So I'm going with the Ghost Rider.

GR still doesn't chance a stand becoz...his hellfire is useless to Dante and Penance stare, well he need to match his speed for that and even if he uses it won't work...he will endure it as well........GR is invincible to physical attacks bt Dante's attacks aren't physical damaging there fore his attacks can hurt him......and Dante hasn't reached his final form yet.....

Someone brought up a good point that in the end of DMC1 Dante had to fly away and escape the explosion otherwise he would have died. Then they posted a scan of Ghost Rider blowing up a large area possibly equal to explosion or more.

It's either a stalemate or Ghost Rider takes it unless someone can give evidence that Ghost Rider can be harmed by demonic weapons.
