Are people honestly rooting for Gorgon?

Even the weakest incarnation of Dante could baby shake him.

Don't think so. So far that move seems like it can only work on low level beings. It didn't work on Phobos, and Phobos was a human with just a reincarnated soul of a God. It's not working on Dante, who is a half Demon that got so much stronger with his demon side he defeated a Demon god, Mundus, with his powers.

@jeanroygrant: Yes he is. But in his handbook entry that he was still in a normal human body. Even though he still obtained his fear powers, his physical stats were still of human. But there is proof that the stone stare does not work on higher level beings. Dante, even though genetically half human, has strengthened his demon powers so much he defeated 2 demon like gods. Mundus and Argosax. So here you have Phobos who is more human physically than god and you have Dante who is a human-half demon more powerful than demon gods in his world.

So there's no proof if the stone stare works on Dante. There is absolutely more proof that it will not.

guy is a mach speed fighter and has a healing factor described as Wolverine on crack, so I doubt Dante will just stomp him

I want to address his speed. You don't know if it's a contribution to his TP or if he's actually that fast. him saying he is that fast against Yo-Yo but going sword blow to blow with Phobos, who again has the stats of a kid his age, proves otherwise. You could say he couldn't really do anything until he Phobos made a move for him to counter. Gorgon I would say physically is slightly faster than Wolverine.

Mr. X has peak human level stats but thanks to TP it allows him deflect bullets.

But anyways, just like how TP didn't help Mr. X against quicksilver, Gorgon will die when Dante does a 100 stringers in one strike.

@SlimJ87D: I don't know anything about Dante so I am not saying he loses, but Gorgon is probably a good deal faster then wolverine.

He basically stabbed wolverine so fast none of his enhanced senses detected gorgon...TP helps but you need the reflexes to move. There are also some scans of gorgon cutting 2 bullets out of the air after they were fired. From what I have seen Gorgon is a lot faster then wolverine.

Again not saying he wins as I haven't played devil may cry I just disagree Gorgon is only slightly faster then wolverine.

@jashro44: Fair enough. But Dante can shoot bullets in midair with his guns. He can thrust his sword about 100 times in a few seconds. The move is called Stinger 1000. The description of the move though says he actually does 1000 thrust.

So that gives you a little bit of information on what Dante can do. He can do a lot more.

@jashro44: Please watch this video. This is Dante as a teenager. It might be enough to beat Gorgon already. Their sword strikes are so fast it creates a barrier where rain cannot touch them.

At the end, he ends up sprinting at the building and running so fast that when he throws his sword it starts to burn up. This might be as fast as entering eartsh atmosphere already.
