Danny Phantom vs Static

They fight to the death in daytime Dakota. This is comic Static, but he still gets all of his Milestone, pre and post-New 52, and cartoon feats. He doesn't have the bo staff, though. This is end of series Danny. The Ecto-Skeleton is restricted.

They are IN CHARACTER, so please nobody try the "Danny just overshadows him gg" cop-out excuse of an argument.

No BFR allowed. The starting distance is 200 feet.

Who wins?

From what I remember of cartoon Static, Danny has too many advantages

...Don't know much about Static, but I'll back Danny if need be.

I'd say Static. The biggest advantage that Danny has is his intangibility. And Static has already shown he can force someone to be tangible if they can ghost through solids.

@blackwind: I was thinking of doing a Static and Black Lightning vs Danny and Vlad sort of thing. Is that fair?

The fact that Danny can go invisible & sneak up on Virgil is a big factor & the last 2 seasons he was real powerful with a lot of powers. I'd say Danny 8/10

I don't think this will be easy for either side.

In theory Danny should have this in the bag, even if it would be a tough fight.

However, I see Static coming out on top just because Danny can be too nice sometimes. In-character Danny wouldn't want to just start fighting some dude for no reason.

I find Danny to be less competent than Virgil on the whole as well as less strategic. Honestly the only power Static would need to watch out for is the Ghostly Wail. And if it comes down to it, Static can and will defeat Danny in first of firepower if he decided to amp.

Since this is comic Static, I say he takes this battle. Although I think Danny would put up a good fight though.

@shiryu: Absorb energy from any of his surroundings to boost his own power. He temporarily blacked out New York doing so already. A far smaller city like Dakota could easily be replicated.

Static can also project his power over a pretty wide area as seen here. I believe Hawkman wasn't even on the same side of the bridge.

As both are in character, they'll just come to their senes then both call it a draw and they end up playing video games.

People don't understand how haxed Danny Phantom is. This guy can go invisible and take over Vergil's body, go around banging black girls in his body, then throwing it off a cliff or something

@stezzy: His overshadow power can be overwhelmed if the opponent has enough willpower. And Virgil has succeeded in breaking the Anti Life Equation after a while, as well as forcing telepaths out of his mind. Danny's never possessed anyone with significant will before.

And Virgil can fly or levitate even without his disk.

I think Danny takes this. Even if Static can prevent Danny from going intangible, Danny still has Ectoplasmic and even REFLECTIVE shields.

And what's Virgil's answer to Danny's Plethora of other abilities; duplication, Cryokinesis, Ghostly Wail.

Danny via Toon Force. But really, feats for Static?

Looks guys, I'm not saying Static wins, I'm just saying that if Danny does win, then he certainly doesn't accomplish that easily.

But, I know some of you will look at the respect thread and remain unimpressed by Static, so I guess it's whatever at this point.

I never knew this and have not noticed it until now. Can you recall any issues where he did this?

Danny has more options in combat and has proven to be a viscious fighter when pushed.

Danny Phantom was my CHILDHOOD. So, Danny wins. JK but he still wins due to Ecto-Ice, ghostly wail, etc. etc.

Going by raw power, Danny should win from what I know about Static, but the skill and adaptability difference is just too much. I can see Danny edging out 2/10 or 3/10.

@shiryu: Virgil flies on his disk/whatever is at hand by electromagnetic levitation. The same way he immobalizes people in the air. It only makes sense he could do it to himself.

Danny shouldn't have a problem.
