Cyclops vs. Wolverine

@god_spawn: Oh, never knew he was anything decent physically. I know he's a fairly ok hand hand combatant, but didn't know he has actually dodge bullets. The pain tolerance info was a cool new tidbit as well though I doubt it is really going to play a role here. Thanks mate.

My point in really bringing it up is if Wolverine gets him with a slash, depending where and how deep, it won't necessarily hinder him too much until he gets more and more slashes. Unless Logan is just like f*ck it and gets him with a debilitating one which is possible given he knows better than to draw out the fight.

@god_spawn: Ah, now I see your point, but with how James has combated Cyclops a few times and should understand that he has a damage output that can put him down, I don't think he'll try to a superficial slash on a non lethal area in which Cyclops could press on for one more optic blast or two.

@wolverine08: But Logan has had longer fights with Cykes before, even slashing him multiple times. Like I said, Cyclops does have a good pain tolerance. He can tank some deeper slashes and still fight, at least for a time. Logan would need to be quick and precise, which he can be. I have no doubt it. This fight is all about the hits. To me, it comes down to who can get opening. Both can. It's a close fight.

I'm more inclined to give a slight nod to Cyclops.

cyclops, he has overloaded bishop's energy absorption and knocked Mjonir out of thor's hand, only using a fraction of his power, wolvy wouldn't even get close to touching scott

i think i mentioned that again,but,cyclops is very underestimated nowadays.i believe he CAN take out wolverine.If they start at a certain distance where no melee attacks can be done,,cyclops blasts the living hell out of wolvie,.a lot of you may see this as an controversial issue due to environment and terrain where they're in,so i'll just start.CLOSED SPACE(HOME,INDUSTRIE ETC)Logan has certainly an advage here as he can use his environment as cover,but he has limited move restriction ,while cyke may be having a lock on wolverine a bit more dificult,but he can use his ricochet blasts to take him down,(we shouldn't forget tha cyke's got a geometric awareness)or weaken him,until he pulls an open shot.OPEN ENVIRONMENT(PARK,STREET ,ROOFTOP ETC)wolverine is certainly an easier target here ,while cyke's blast that move at light speed and pierce holes across mountains can move freely,he can also shoot wide blast,which are harder to dodge.EXOTIC SPACES(FORSTS,DUNES ETC)Wolverine's got a huge advantage here as meele combat is most prefered at this situation,but still think that wide blasts will work here,he also has the trick where he shots the floor and makes a big gust'o wind to blind wolvie and take him down.done with the terrain,now firepower issue bblast:onslaught armor,magnetos' field,the ''i want this thing of my lawn,the krakoa brood,apocalypse,and a bunch more,wolvie no thing.MELEE:BOTH CYCLOPS AND LOGAN have impressive mart arts knowledge,but cyke's taken him down again,while logans doesn't use mart arts during a fight ,he gets overwhelmed by rage and doesn't think what he's doing,so i go with cyke END :) (cyclops= |)

Interesting, Cyclops fries him. They already fought twice in that X-Men anime and Cyclops won in both rounds.

They have fought many many times in the past. Unless I'm mistaken, Cyclops usually wins.

Cyclops has the obvious advantage. Wolverine is capable of pulling some wins, especially in a favorable environment where he can catch him by surprise in close quarters, but in general Cyclops has the edge and his skilled enough fighter and tactician to utilize his advantage

Cyclops. Wolvie outstats him and has fighting skill but Scott's shown he can utilize his own skill, powers, and knowledge of Logan to hang close with him enough to get a shot on him, which barring PIS showings, should knock him off and allow Scott to follow up on the job. Logan gets in some wins due to said previous advantages, but not enough without a favorable setting to win.

I don't know how people could just vote for cyclops with some PIS. First of all wolverine's martial arts skills are far superior. Two, a PIS free berserk wolverine is too difficult to win against. This is the same guy who can tore off hulk's stomach. It is stupid that cyclops wasn't handicapped in that fight he had with wolverine. Wolverine's healing factor helps him against the optic blasts. It's easy for people to vote for Cyclops because Cyclops has already shown he can handle Wolverine on his own when Logan's also backed by a team. Just because his h2h skills are better doesn't mean he wins since this isn't a h2h fight, and when Logan and Scott fought up close, Scott was shooting beams the majority of the fight. If you want talk PIS between them, it was bad writing on how Scott's powers work when he just kept shooting slim beams or one continuous beam and Logan wasn't flying anywhere or he wades through them. The "PIS free berserk Wolverine" rammed his claws through one of the weakest Hulks, yet a full blast from Scott was ripping the skin from a Hulk Wolverine even said was hard to cut. The two fights don't really matter but if we are using Hulk as a bench mark for Logan, let's take in the fact Scott and Logan were some of the few people to do any noticeable damage. This is a guy with a mountain splitting eye beam. Logan's healing would only make him last so long.

Can't Logan doge the optic blasts? IDK that much about Scott.

@blackpantherisb: He can and has, but Cyke has also been able to tag him quite often and he can adjust the size of his blasts as well. It's a closer fight than people realize but in a neutral setting like since if no one puts in a setting it's a neutral one and that it favors Cyke over Logan.

@blackpantherisb: I see this kind of argument alot, no offense. These are being fired from a man thats anticipating your next move and the target moving etc. Its not a fire --> dodge kinda thing. Those beams can come out any time and not knowing that makes them extremely difficult to dodge especially if we're talking h2h range. And you definitely dont want to take Scotts beam at point blank range.

I don't understand how Scott can't take him short ranged, not only has he got the fighting skill, but he also has crazy good geometrics and reflecting abilites, and surely he can just point blank fire at wolverine making him fly off?
