Playing by the Rules:

• Challenger has the right of selecting the limits (within the tier), and selects who they are using first.
• Gym Leader chooses the set up, whether a solo character or team.
• The Gym Leader is allowed to select a second to fill in for them in case of time constraints.
• If the Challenger wins the debate by votes, they earn the badge. However, if they lose the vote, the Gym Leader can still bestow the badge if he/she so wishes.
• The Challenger can only match one gym at a time.
• The Challenger has 60 hours (2 Days, 12 Hours) to respond to the gym leaders post, before forfeiting.
• The Gym Leader creates the battle in a separate thread.
• The Challenger can contest for taking over the gym if they defeat the Gym Leader 3 consecutive times, or if the Gym Leader has become inactive with permission from the voters and the commissioner (@spector_rand currently).
• Votes are counted by the commissioner, not the Gym Leader.
• The commissioner has the final say in any dispute.

Remember the gaming gym isn`t this gym, it`s a gym where you are put to the test in different territory this didn`t teach you how to beat the game it only taught you how to play one game at a time.

@neongamewave: For high tier, I can debate pretty good with Goku or Buuhan.

I think a good matchup would be Goku vs Sonic or Buuhan vs Boswer (composite) do you have any ideas for characters that could face off against Arkham Batman? Because I always wanted to use Arkham Batman in a debate :)

@neongamewave: Let me know when your free for a challenger. I plan to use Steve from Minecraft.

@neongamewave: For Arkham batman, I could use composite Sub Zero from MK.

I've also never seen bowser used in a debate, so that would be interesting.

My first challenger is going to be @cpt_nice he is going to be representing Bayonetta and I will be representing Dante from Devil May Cry.

I think that could make for an interesting matchup but Sub Zero may be a bit too much he`s more like low meta while Arkham Batman is street level. Arkham Batman would win however under the conditions of prep and having the fight take place in Gotham where his stealth advantage could really be a game changer.

@neongamewave: Any MK characters you think could match Arkham Batman?

I`m thinking maybe Johnny Cage.

@neongamewave: I'm not too good with Johnny, it seems like batman has every advantage over him..

The only MK characters I'm really good with are Scorpion, Sub, Raiden, and Reptile

I think Batman vs Reptile could work, I was thinking maybe that Bruce would have a shot against Scorpion but I`m not too sure what would you prefer?

@neongamewave: Bruce vs reptile sounds good, Scorpion is more around Sub Zeros level.

Dante vs Bayonetta is my first matchup, I will be able to face off against you and Reptile once that matchup concludes.

I finished my Dante vs Bayonetta debate, I will be starting ours now, if your ready :)

@neongamewave: let me ask you a question. If you were debating with Kratos would you use gameplay feats? How about if you were debating against him, would you say your opponent can't?

Gameplay is apart of the process in regards to finding out how feats work in relation to video game characters, I would stick to cutscenes and Lore (game manuals, game developer interviews and etc.).

@neongamewave: I know but usually don't you ignore it if people use feats outside of a cutscene? I'm not talking about a guy walking around killing people, I'm talking about someone using the ability when its first achieved like your supposed to. And this guy said let's do a CaV but he purposely left out Composite for Kratos just to prevent me from using like 80% of the weapons and abilities

If it`s presented in the right context then I could accept it but I would prefer the use of gameplay to be limited it should only be used or referenced as a way to emphasize the evidence that is indicated by the cutscenes without gameplay there would be no plot and without plot where would cutscenes come from? Its using it in interesting and interchanging ways that is most important instead trying to be unreasonable and unsupported, abilities and etc are fine just as long as there`s Lore that is lined up alongside it. Also when it comes to video game characters it is very important to try and go by developer`s intent this heightens logic that could otherwise be downgraded to illogical levels for example many like to use game mechanics as a way and as a means to downgrading video game characters, and even cutscenes but thanks to the developer/creator`s intent we know that the gameplay can sometimes be as important as the overall story. Feats in conjunction with powers and abilities are grounded by the logic of gameplay but cutscenes by canon rule should always come first.

Don`t worry, for my CaV, you will be able to use composite Kratos to his full potential :)

@jacthripper: I will debate for the legendary hero known as Dovahkiin (Dragonborn).

The hard part is finding a character that will give him/her a good fight. The closest was against Dante, where it ended in a stalemate, neither being able to kill the other.
