1) Frankly I don't know enough about Strange. I guess that he his higher than heralds because he can summon creatures that stomps them. Trascendant looks like logical to me.
2) Yes. Thanos is physically impressive and he has a lot of versatility too. He is very very smart too.

"Trapping" isn't valid. In one instance, just by merely standing, he was destroying countless dimensions. Strange's pocket dimension would hardly stand a chance. Doctor Strange keeping the Beyonder inebriated is also ridiculous as the Beyonder has shown the ability to transcend his mortal/human form at will, which would negate those effects. Plus, none of it even happened. It was a what if scenario.
