Both are at full power. Battle takes place in Australia. Who wins?
Cthulhu vs Galactus
" Can you please provide scans of some impressive feats from Cthulha? Thank you in advance. "
I cant but maybe someone can. I havent read many Cthulhu comics
" @Montaq said:" Galactus>motorboat>Cthulhu "what?"
Read The Call of Cthulhu, they stop him by crashing a motor boat into him. It makes more sense in context. But seriously, I do recommend reading some Lovecraft, he is a great author and you can probably find his work at your local library.
Galactus gets stronger as he feeds and never gets full,in theory he'd be omnipotent. However,he can't ever reach that level of power. It's like taking an immortal and telling them to count by 1s and never stop. They have no upper limit, but they can't reach infinity.
Cthulhu can not actually die, be destroyed or end. At the conclusion of the universe Cthulhu and the other great old ones will just be sitting by waiting for the next universe, that is of course if they even let the current universe end.
And Big "G" can only reach "full power" if he were to absorb the entire current universe - but that also ends him in the process.

Cthulhu's deathlessness would not by itself guarantee his victory.
@SpidermanWins: Cthulhu from what story line are we discussing in this battle? Cthulhu has very different power levels depending on which storyline we are talking about.I'm talking about the one that comes n 2012. His power level as of then.
@kadeem said:Cthulhu wins for sure. Even if Galactus (at full power) = Eternity, you all need to understand that The universe\multiverse is nothing more than landscape to the great old ones. They are not part of the universe they are beyond it. But I will grant you as far as pure feats are concerned Big G has more/better.@SpidermanWins: Cthulhu from what story line are we discussing in this battle? Cthulhu wins for sure. Even if Galactus (at full power) = Eternity, you all need to understand that The universe\multiverse is nothing more than landscape to the great old ones. They are not part of the universe they are beyond it.Wouldn't that be the Outer Gods? You know, Azathoth, Yog-Sothoth, NOT Cthulhu, etc.
Cthulhu himself is a pretty minor entity in the Cthulhu mythos.
@Tevnoba said:Azathoth is the god the Great Old Ones Worship. Yog-Sothoth and Cthulhu are both Great Old Ones, but yes Yog-Sothoth is a more powerful being than Cthulhu. On-Topic: Galactus more then likely stomps him.
Cthulhu would win. If I am right, galactus is from this universe. The entity Cthulhu is an "eldritch abomination"- an entity that drives others insane because they can sense that the abomination should not exist in their universe
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EldritchAbomination
"Eldritch Abominations, are not simply creatures that look horrible on a metaphorically cosmic scale. They are alien madness-inducing reality warpers who literally are horrible on a cosmic scale. Eldritch is not just anything that looks like an ugly mashup of different kinds of Body Horror. What actually defines the Eldritch Abominations (or as we puny Homo sapiens can only define them) is their defiance of natural law, as humans understand it. They are the things that should not be, the ultimate aliens. It is this what makes them abominable, and it is this that horrifies and reduces to gibbering madness all but the strongest of those who encounter them. Such laws as they do obey, such as When The Planets Align or Sealed Evil in a Can, are their nature, not ours."
Since Cthulhu is not truly from our universe as we know it, it is likely that he would drive galactus insane.
Of course, it is impossible to know who would win, as neither entity exists, and therefore their powers are both abstract. If they existed in the same reality (same writer made them up) their powers may be defined with respect to each other.
I acknowledge that the above argument was extremely nerdy.
Ok, I read a couple of Lovecraft's tale-enjoyed them btw, so I can offer my opinion on this. In the "Call of Cthulhu," the only thing Cthulhu did was devouring a couple of men, drove another insane by his appearance and was momentarily defeated when Johansen punctured him with the boat. Durability-wise, he's not impressive. Cthulhu is said to be the corporeal, manifestation of chaos and madness, BUT this only applies to mere mortals who can't comprehend the anatomy and origin of this "entity." Johansen was seemingly unaffected by Cthulhu's chaotic aura and defeated him at the moment. There's NO evidence to suggest that this chaotic effect would have any influence on a powerful, cosmic entity that existed right after the birth of the universe. Galactus is infinitely above any human, and has also dealt with dark, magical and/or demonic beings.I truly enjoy Lovecraft's literature, but all of the hyperboles and theories can't suggest to me that Cthulhu can beat a primeval, Cosmic entity.
@tevnoba: um no yog sothoth is an outer god not a Great old one even if "the universe is a landscape for them" that doesnt give them power over Galactus, who practically is a eldritch being himself. Also, Elder Gods >>>>>>> Great Old Ones
There should be a thread called: who can destroy earth quicker Cthulhu or galactus. Haha
I think Cthulhu can defeat big g though
