Crocodile(one piece) vs Kazekage Gaara(naruto shippuden)

I don't see Croc hurting a Kage who's whole body has thick layers of sand covering himself. I also can't see him avoiding a gigantic wave of sand, too.

Stalemate. Gaara can't hurt crocodile and I don't see crocodile hurting gaara.

Logias can shift into their element, but they can control their elements too. couldn't croc just bypass his sand shield by controling the sand itself?

but this lead to the question, can Croc out sand control Gaara?...and honestly I don't think so.

if he can do that, i can't remember any croc sand feats to put him in same league.

but IIRC that was him with 1 tail still. since then it has been removed.

The 1 tails only provide Gaara with sentient protection all the other sand moves are Gaara's, even with it remove though Gaara sand power is still tremendous i.e helping stop a giant Asteroid

I don't think it would even come to that. Croc can poison him with his hook or turn him into dust with his hand.

Gaaras control is based on his Chakra.

Crocodiles control is based on himself.

Gaara can run out of Chakra, Crocodile can not run out of himself.

Crocodile wins.

I just don't see what Gaara can do that will put Croc down...

Gaara simply wins. If croc tries to control the sand gaara controls, it will end in gaara's favor. not only that Gaara can simply turn into a biiju and create shockwaves powerful enough to kill him.

Stalemate. Gaara has no way to hurt croc, while crock can't do anything to gaara either.. Unless chakra mixed in sand is taken as haki, looks like stalemate.

Btw, does gaara have sealing tags, like he had with his father?

Well, gaara can control sand, too. Does it mean he'll be able to control crocodile when he's in elemental form? (no)

It's better to leave these things instead of getting into speculation..

@princearagorn1: ninja use jutsu, and chakara nature to control and produce elements. for a logia it's pretty instantaneous.

croc can also moisture drain, and croc CAN touch him by simply controlling his sand shield, and thengoing in for the kill.

but gara can't touch croc because he has no haki.

@cooldes: Gaara's jutsus are quite fast, though. He lifted sand about as large as sand village in moments against deidara..

Gaara can't hurt Croc but Croc can still hurt him with his golden hook.

it comes down to who has more control over the sand? if we assume that Crocs control is superior because thanks to his DF he is composed of sand and Gaara only controls it by chakra infusion then Croc wins otherwise its a stalemate.

I'm giving it to Gaara based on superior combat intelligence.

How does Gaara beat Crocodile? Gaara's stats and sand manipulation is far above Crocodile's but logias are basically immortal. Gaara doesn't know haki so he can't beat Crocodile. Crocodile can keep on attacking until Gaara gets tired.

This will be a very long match because of Logia regeneration. Without logia regen Gaara stomps

As PrinceAragorn said, is there any reason why Gaara couldnt just seal Crocodile?

gaara stopped being limited by shukaku right after the chuunin exams. in fact his control and power have grown because he hasnt relied on it. even without shikaku his mothers blood in the sand still acts as a defense. he should just be able to seal him end of story.

Well Gaara controls sand..... Crocodile is sand...... Therefore Gaara controls crocodile..... He'll just turn crocodile into a sand spear and launch him into a lake since he knows sand's weakness.

One, IF Gaara has sealing tags, he won't be going to those right away. All of his normal attacks involve sand. Crocodile's control over sand, while not showing many ridiculous moments like protecting a village or something, is just naturally superior in is control. Gaara might as well be using nothing to protect himself. Crocodile could literally just walk through anything Gaara throws at him. He IS sand. He controls it completely. It's like trying to attack Ace with napalm, Iceman with ice, it cannot be done, you might as well be doing nothing. As I mentioned before, Crocodile could stroll up to Gaara and dry him out with no trouble. Gaara, while perhaps learning to not rely on Shukaku as much, still is practically helpless with sand attacks/defense completely nullified. And if he did try and use sand shields, Croc could use it to attack by creating cutting attacks in Gaara's sand like the ones he used against Luffy in their first fight. I doubt Gaara would even have time to even think about using sealing tags.

@highaccuser: @unbiasedrodger: How exactly is Gaara supposed to "just know" what Croc's weakness is? And, not to mention, Croc almost never starts out or even goes into his sand form at the start of battles. If you look at the first time he fought Luffy, he was just standing around ready to fight. He ended both of the fights we've seen by either impaling his victims on his hook, poisoning them with a venom that was visually melting a rock just by touching it, or drying them out. First thing he'd probably do is go for the kill with one of these if he doesn't feel like screwing around. Shifting into a full sand form is not something he usually does, especially not in this fight, when he definitely won't need to. As I said before, he could just run up to Gaara and stab him with his hook, totally ignoring his defense.

Can you back Crocodiles sand control being superior to Gaara's?? Gaara is capable of injecting sand in his oponents bloodstream and control said sand to restric their movements, or make the rocks underground grind against themselves to produce sand, which btw means he can sense and control sand at vast dinstances and with obstacles, he should therefore be able to sense Croc location at all times.

Crocodile, due to his limitless control of the sand. Even if Gaara's control is greater, he'll run out of chakra eventually. Crocodile doesn't require energy to use his powers, seeing as how he's literally made of sand the same way Luffy's made of rubber. Nothing Gaara can do is capable of wounding him.
