Rules:
Street level characters only
Team must be 5 people, two men, two women, an one women who dresses like a man.

I don't think streets can beat Gilgamesh.

I don't think street levelers are going to take him. Maybe Rocket Raccoon if you give him access to any heavy weapons he chooses. He's had some pretty awesome guns. Same with Hawkeye if he can have unlimited supply of any trick arrows he wants. Luke Cage could tank for those two, while they do heavy damage from range. My team would still probably lose though.

People should remember that the team must be 3 people and one must be a man, another a women, and the final one a women who dresses like a man.

No point listing three guys as you're only allowed one guy.

@floopay: Yeah I loved both the characters and the story but I also went a bit mad for Triple Triad. Did you play it?

Loved the story, really enjoyed the characters and the character development. Hated the gameplay. I mean, the GF's doing more damage based on how much you press the square button? Really?

However, graphics and gameplay are only a minor part of a good RPG for me, a great story is worth a heck of a lot more than anything else. A game with a great story makes it more replayable in my opinion.

If I want super fun gameplay I'll play an FPS, MMO, or something addicting like the Elderscrolls (which have okay storylines, they are more fun than anything else), but those games usually don't have a lot of replayability after awhile. Whereas some of the Final Fantasies (especially 7 and tactics), Breath of Fire (particularly, 3), Chrono Trigger, Secret of the Stars, and games along those lines, I still play once in awhile, because like a good book or movie, the story is so enthralling that it's good to keep fresh in your memory.

And as for graphics, meh, I'll go watch a movie if I want good graphics. Could care less really. Most of my favorite games are before the 2k games that put 85% of their budget into graphics, 12% of their budget into gameplay (9% of which were tutorials and the game spending too much time telling me how to beat it, rather than letting me play it on my own), and about 3% of that budget went into making sure their crappy generic storylines didn't step on any other crappy generic story's toes too far to insight a lawsuit.

@floopay: Definitely... Good gameplay and a good story is more than enough to make up for old school graphics. Saying that I remember being impressed by the cut scenes on FF8 at the time. I know what you mean about the GF boost button lol adds crazy damage for some reason, but if you junction some mad concoctions into your characters then GFs weren't even required. Took me ages though lol I had to go on keen.

Pshhhht, I remember being blown away by FF7 cutscene graphics...I mean....nowadays gameplay graphics are better than those poorly animated cutscenes! But whatever, it's got an awesome story.

You know, I never bothered seeing if you can miss catching Rinoa during the space station scene.

I've also never not selected the "Tell it how it is" option when you first meet up with Rinoa and her gang and they tell you her plan. I mean, I've always wondered what the options do...but I've never been able to resist not selecting that one.

That and the part where you can either talk about her plan, or just keep selecting the options to tell her just how awful her train model is. Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

@floopay: lol wow you saying about those Rinoa sequences are giving me some serious flashbacks.I remember getting stuck on a game back then without a walkthrough or the internet meant you were gonna be there for a while. Took some crazy dedication to do the stupidly cryptic quests like Obel Lake and the PuPu one lol.

The worst game for that is Breath of Fire 3 during the Desert scene. The translation is wrong, so you literally cannot beat the desert scene except by blind luck or unless you get a walkthrough. And this was back before I had internet access, so I fell into the former.

Years later when I redid it I looked up the walktrhough, and was SO PISSED!

Btw, it is possible to fail to catch Rinoa. I did the first time. :-(

Hahahahaha. You know, I remember actually trying really hard to make sure I didn't fail, because IIRC you don't get to find out whether you failed or succeeded until you've stared at that screen for like 5 minutes, and all I could think was "I don't wanna stare at him lifelessly floating through space anymore, if I don't catch her I quit".
