Could Superman conquer the world?

Could Superman take over the world and install himself as the absolute dictator for at least a generation? He can prep all he wants before acting, use any methods available, and he can make any alliances he wants, as long as he remains the sole dictator.

Morals off for Supes, on for everyone else.

Round 1: DC Earth

Round 2: Marvel 616 Earth (he goes alone; no help from other DCU characters)

Round 3: Ultimate Marvel Earth

Round 4: DCU Apokalips

I'm pretty sure he fails all rounds.

Though he comes closest to conquering the Ultimate universe given how inept they were when Magneto tried.

I don't think he could but his best chance would be to start assassinating the worlds telepaths (so no one knows what's going on) one by one followed by the speedsters/time-manipulators.

I guess no one read where it says Superman gets as much prep as he wants, any methods like collect items of power and he can make alliances Superman would conquer earth.

If you give Superman all the prep he wants, he doesnt even have to collect powerful artifacts, he could just sun-dip in the sun for 15k years and come out as a God only next to the Presence...

It already happened in Red Son.

But

1.He will have to quitely assassinate the Flashes first.After which he speedblitzes everybody.

2.He will have to quitely kill the reality warpers in 616.After which he can take turns chucking Thor and Hulk into the sun

3.Ultimate is pretty easy.same rule as Marvel 616 to be followed. Except easier here

4.He already overthrew Darkseid and ruled as a dictator in a John Bryne story

Some people are saying Galactus which is incorrect as the OP asks only about the conquest of EARTH, not the universe. Earth, which galactus is unlikely to try and defend

Alternatively Superman can sundip for a few days.Given his powers double in 15 min against Impereix, a few days should be enough for anyone on given earths.Or he could spend 15000 years and become Prime 1 Million at which point he conquers the universe

Or he can get the IG in Marvel cuz if Thanos was good enough to do it, superman most definitely is

Or he could get n no of Marvel's other doomsday weapons

The point is with no limits on time and resources, Superman will definitely conquer everything
