Commander Shepard vs Solid snake

Standard Loadout, fight takes place in HUGE warehouse with No roof with HEAVY rain coming through it.

Half Well lit and other half Very dark.

No outside help from anyone.

Snake be one of my all time favorites but I may have to give to Shepard . He got the biotics . & depends on what psychological profile you used in the game lol

Shepard should win on paper, but Snake has consistently beaten tougher opponents.

Biotics wise Sheperd all day. Without Biotics then Snake.

The only Shepard that might lose is Soldier. Even then time dilation and shields...

There is nothing Sheperd has used or brought to a fight that Solid Snake has not countered except the Biotics.

IMO the only way snake is beating shepard is if its just straight up soldier shepard.

Pretty much. Stasis, Biotic Charge, Warp, and Throw is all abilities Snake cannot and has not counter.

Snake beats the tar out of him.

No matter what scars you bear, whatever uniform you wear, you can fight like a Krogan and run like a leopard but you will never be better than Commander Shepard.

I don't think anyone is giving Snake enough credit in this thread. Obviously, Shepard is more powerful then Snake, but that's never stopped Snake before. Almost everyone of his enemies has been superhuman. If this was a straight up fight, Shepard would win every time, but this location heavily favors Snake. He's in a huge warehouse, where half of it is dark. He could use his stealth, and then just snipe Shepard when Shepard doesn't even know it's coming or where it's coming from. To my knowledge, Shepard doesn't have anything crazy to show for reaction times, so a well placed bullet to the head should do the trick.

Also, Snake could just use his stealth to find Shepard, then move to the opposite side of the warehouse, that is called HUGE, in the OP, and use Nikita missles to take him out from a distance. These are remote controlled, and he does not even need to be near Shepard to use them.

@tparks: In terms of marksmanship Shepard has no right to be mentioned in the same breath as Solid Snake. Biotics are cool but stealth is cooler. Snake stomps 10/10, effortlessly might I add.

Snake wins. Yes on paper commander is more impressive. But ever villain snake has beat has WAY more impressive stats then snake. If snake can beat metal gears than you bet your ass he can win this fight

All your biotics and won't be meaning that much when, well....your stabbed in the back. It can go either way. In a direct confrontation I'm definitely going with shepard. Though ya know. Won't exactly be an easy guy for snake to take out. It can go either way though I'm leaning towards snake. However Shepard has serious gear and snake needs heavy stuff to go up against him and his kinetic barriers.

Honestly, unless we are letting Snake have the Railgun from 4 or a rocket launcher, he isn't winning this.

Shepard's Kinetic Barrier make assassinating him via stealth highly unlikely while Snake does not have this luxury. There is no reason to believe Shepard's weaponry won't kill Snake, and if Shepard is a biotic this only gets worse.

Granted, I believe Snake to be the superior fighter, his standard equipment is just not enough.

Everyone forgets about the kinetic barrier, which makes sniping out of the question.

Shepard wins. He will be untouchable from the neck down, at least from normal gunfire. His armor consists of kinetic padding and lightweight ablative ceramics, plus the kinetic barriers. In fact, canon Shepard should have all upgrades, so just read all the lore descriptions of the armor upgrades on this page.

His bones will also be reinforced with synthetic weave, which makes them "almost unbreakable", his muscles are perforated with micro-fibers increasing his strength even further, and finally, strong synthetic fibers woven through his skin, further increasing durability. It is a future soldier vs a modern one. The future one will come out on top.
