Serious a long fight then both possess a lot of force and they are very resistant to the blows but the metallic material of the one which this it tosses the skin of COLOSSUS it is so strong and resistant that would not suffer bigger damages for the blows caused on the other hand by THE THING I believe that after several blows of COLOSSUS; THE THING would be defeated and with cracks in its rock body
I THINK ITS A HARD ONE BUT I THINK...... COLOSSUS WOULD WIN BECAUSE HE'S MORE SKILLED AT FIGHTING THAN THE THING AND HIS ORGANIC METAL BODY WOULD BE STRONGER THAN THE THINGS ROCKY ONE.
Colossus wins. he can throw the thing, just like almost every other "Colossus vs, their name here" thread, i have posted in. he can throw the thing, and also, i believe wolvie can cut the thing, but he hasn't cut Colossus that much.

yeah, that only happened cuz it was a fantastic four comic, if it were an X-men comic, Coossus would have owned him.

Actually, the main reason was the Thing had a far greater fighting spirit than anyone else.

Don't sell the thing short!!! The Thing has matched up with just about everyone of marvel's heavy hitters and held his own. As far as someone saying Colossus is a better fighter...I totally disagree! Even before the Thing was the Thing he was a great hand-to-hand combatant because of his military training. The Thing has always been weaker than Hulk, Juggernaut, Abomination, etc. but he holds his own due to his superior tactics/fighting and HEART. I know Colossus is way more popular, but the Thing was in universe saving battles when Colossus was in russia crawling around in diapers! There is a reason The Thing was always one of The Hulks toughest opponents, there is a reason Champion acknowledged The Thing as the best earth had to offer. I am not saying that the Thing wins, but Colossus isn't a shoe in. If Original hulk doesn't own the Thing why does everyone think Colossus can? In all the comics I have read with the Thing the only time I have seen him get owned is by Gladiator and Colossus is NO Gladiator.

Yes everything is up to the writer. But the writers for certain things like to make their characters alot better then others. Thats partially the reason people debate on stuff like this. Like is it logical that the Hulk who kicks the crap outta the Thing all the time does that much worse than him... no.
like, the thing can barely compete with the hulk, he would just get punched out in like 2 punches, according to the writer, he can fight with him for like, 5 minutes.

It's because willpower does exist. And so do plot twists.
I do believe Colossus beats Thing, Colossus is stronger and more invulnerable. Although Thing has pretty good fighting skills, Colossus' strength/invulnerability along with his decent fighting skills bring him over the top. Oh and I was saying willpower is nothing in a fight against that guy whoever he was, that beat Hulk. If Hulk gets beat Thing gets beat... that's just how it is, just bad writing.

Back when that comic came out Colossus was a teenager, was very inexperienced and could only lift 70 tons.
