colossus would own the things' rocky but

#4 Posted by GambitO (980 posts) - - Show Bio

Serious a long fight then both possess a lot of force and they are very resistant to the blows but the metallic material of the one which this it tosses the skin of COLOSSUS it is so strong and resistant that would not suffer bigger damages for the blows caused on the other hand by THE THING I believe that after several blows of COLOSSUS; THE THING would be defeated and with cracks in its rock body

#5 Posted by ADAMANTIUM SOLDIER (8 posts) - - Show Bio

HI EVERYONE!

I THINK ITS A HARD ONE BUT I THINK...... COLOSSUS WOULD WIN BECAUSE HE'S MORE SKILLED AT FIGHTING THAN THE THING AND HIS ORGANIC METAL BODY WOULD BE STRONGER THAN THE THINGS ROCKY ONE.

#15 Posted by Legendary Bio Vishanti (3333 posts) - - Show Bio

Colossus wins. he can throw the thing, just like almost every other "Colossus vs, their name here" thread, i have posted in. he can throw the thing, and also, i believe wolvie can cut the thing, but he hasn't cut Colossus that much.

#16 Posted by Alexander Anderson (4030 posts) - - Show Bio

I'll go with Colossus as well, he's just tougher.

Has anyone read the FF where that boxing alien (I know what this sounds like, but go with it) challenges all those earthlings? He beats the crap out of Wonderman, Colossus, Sasquatch, and a couple of others. But on the ninth (I think) day of the tourney, Thing wails on him.

I'm gonna say Thing.

#18 Posted by beastmanX (285 posts) - - Show Bio

thing is stronger and they both have very tough hide. so i thats why i think thing wins.

yeah, that only happened cuz it was a fantastic four comic, if it were an X-men comic, Coossus would have owned him.

Actually, the main reason was the Thing had a far greater fighting spirit than anyone else.

#24 Posted by Valkaad (2589 posts) - - Show Bio

Don't sell the thing short!!! The Thing has matched up with just about everyone of marvel's heavy hitters and held his own. As far as someone saying Colossus is a better fighter...I totally disagree! Even before the Thing was the Thing he was a great hand-to-hand combatant because of his military training. The Thing has always been weaker than Hulk, Juggernaut, Abomination, etc. but he holds his own due to his superior tactics/fighting and HEART. I know Colossus is way more popular, but the Thing was in universe saving battles when Colossus was in russia crawling around in diapers! There is a reason The Thing was always one of The Hulks toughest opponents, there is a reason Champion acknowledged The Thing as the best earth had to offer. I am not saying that the Thing wins, but Colossus isn't a shoe in. If Original hulk doesn't own the Thing why does everyone think Colossus can? In all the comics I have read with the Thing the only time I have seen him get owned is by Gladiator and Colossus is NO Gladiator.

The thing fought the champion to a standstill. And to note Even the likes of thor and the hulk didn't last longer than one round. But the thing lasted for 3. He just won't quit till he's a pile of dust.

that's just a writers thoughts, if it were like, if they had a mind of their own, colossus would've gotten farther then the thing.

But what you've seen so far has all been written by a writer, yes?

#31 Posted by Dormammu (1248 posts) - - Show Bio

Yes everything is up to the writer. But the writers for certain things like to make their characters alot better then others. Thats partially the reason people debate on stuff like this. Like is it logical that the Hulk who kicks the crap outta the Thing all the time does that much worse than him... no.

He means in battles on this site.

#33 Posted by Legendary Bio Vishanti (3333 posts) - - Show Bio

like, the thing can barely compete with the hulk, he would just get punched out in like 2 punches, according to the writer, he can fight with him for like, 5 minutes.

It's because willpower does exist. And so do plot twists.

#35 Posted by Dormammu (1248 posts) - - Show Bio

Willpower means nothing in this fight.

#36 Posted by Dormammu (1248 posts) - - Show Bio

And by this fight i'm not talking about Colossus vs Thing.

#37 Posted by Legendary Bio Vishanti (3333 posts) - - Show Bio

i do not understand what u are saying, so i will just say Colossus wins.

#38 Posted by Lantern Prime (13044 posts) - - Show Bio

They are both as strong and invulnerable. But I say Luke Cage takes both. Anyways this ends up a draw!

#39 Posted by Legendary Bio Vishanti (3333 posts) - - Show Bio

LC can NOT take Colossus! i dunno about the thing...but DEFINITELY NOT Colossus! but Colossus beats thing

#40 Posted by Dormammu (1248 posts) - - Show Bio

I do believe Colossus beats Thing, Colossus is stronger and more invulnerable. Although Thing has pretty good fighting skills, Colossus' strength/invulnerability along with his decent fighting skills bring him over the top. Oh and I was saying willpower is nothing in a fight against that guy whoever he was, that beat Hulk. If Hulk gets beat Thing gets beat... that's just how it is, just bad writing.

Yeah and if it were based on powers and not writers The hulk would pull colossus's arms off with ease!!

Back when that comic came out Colossus was a teenager, was very inexperienced and could only lift 70 tons.

Yeah for some reason it doesn't put in the Strength_Scale part so u would have to type that in or u could just go to http://en.marveldatabase.com/Main_Page and click on database which is beside Welcome to Marvel Database Project, then go to the bottom right of the page and click on strength scale. http://en.marveldatabase.com/Marvel_Database:Strength_Scale
