colossus vs. the thing
Just like Colossus fans are entitled, you guys are entitled to your opnions. Fact is, Colossus and Thing have similar strengths. They excel at power, endurance and stamina. Colossus beats Thing in all of the above. They are equally experienced in fighting or close with thing slight edge, but like others said, he is tempermental. Colossus is more calculating and uses his head more and more importantly, puts his training to more use than Thing would. Colossus takes this. Stronger, tougher, can last longer and he doesnt need to drink, eat, or breathe.

Why say "fact is" then state more of the same without proving it to be fact? You are continuously touting opinion without proof. Most of what you purport is inconclusive at best. You should state "I think" or "I believe" instead of "fact is..." as though your opinion holds the weight of final authority.
Ben has feats that throw him easily in the same strength, durability and endurance range as Colossus... and in the strength arena, probably above him. I am not stating conclusively who is stronger, or faster, or more durable because these are inconclusive. Both have some amazing feats accredited to them.
I will, however, state as false your insinuations that the Thing is a brainless brute when fighting. This is just plain wrong and shows you are something of an X-men fanboy (nothing wrong with this in and of itself) who hasn't read much outside of the X-title box as it were. I base this comment after having read months of your posts on the Vine. And because that statement about Ben is just plain wrong. Anyone who has ever seriously read the FF would not have so little insight into this character. And who cares if Petey does not need to eat, drink or breathe while organic steel... it's not an eating or breath holding contest...
@Ramtha07:
If the fight lasts for several hours, which is a possibility, Thing will get hungry and thirsty. He will tired quicker as well.
Also, Colossus can knock him in the water and drown him but Peter doesnt need to worry about drowning.
Just some of his versatility in play.

" @scarbearer said:"
To paraphrase Apollo Creed, Colossus fights great, but Thing is a great fighter.
"Well said, sir!
The Thing wins because of his superior skill, experience and (something that can't be quantified) his fighters heart.
"
fighter's heart would allow him to beat hulk too am i right? seriously?
Colossus has heart as well. I can play that card for him. Wolverine already owned Thing's rocky butt over and over again in ways he wouldn't be able to against Colossus.
Ask yourself rock and steel of same density crash against each other, who wins? Rock would be shattered to pieces, steel might have a little dent but it's still one piece.
This is what would happen when Colossus fights Thing.
@madrid_san:
Your analogy might work if we were arguing steel versus rock. We are arguing Colossus vs. the Thing. And both are so far above their respective constituent materials in density and durability that their relation to either rock or steel is obviously merely cosmetic. Compairing the Thick to a rock is ridiculous. You argue that Logan's claws can't cut through Colossus' organic steel hide... if it was comparable to steel, adamantium would carve him with ease, be like cutting through water, making this comparison equally ridiculous.
And the Thing has come far closer to beating Hulk than Colossus ... but this ABC type logic is irrelevant. As is yours. Colossus has lots of heart to be sure. Arms crushed by the aforementioned Hulk (didn't last too long against him now did he) and still he was not willing to yield. Courageous kid - but he still lost and he's not the scrapper ol Ben is.
Again, your "Wolverine beats Thing easier than he can Colossus and so therefore Colossus beats the Thing" is ridiculous. ABC logic does nothing to reinforce your argument. Quite the opposite.
here is the most important fact that would decide who wins because this fight would go a very long way
Thing can exert himself for 24 hours before his "heart" and body gives in.
Colossus can go SEVERAL days with before he starts feeling tired.
Advantage: Colossus

Wow... so Thing only has a mere 24 hours to beat Petey. Now that's not a very long time to win a fight is it...
Also, where'd you get those lil facts... wiki? Any feats you can post to back them up?
"
thing wins. have they ever fought before?
"
They haven't squared off no (to my knowledge). But in the X-men/Fantastic Four teamup of the 80's, Colossus and Thing were armwrestling, comparing strength levels and considered one another as equals. They have both grown stronger, having multiple upgrades since but are still considered roughly equal. Feats probably put the Thing a little higher in the wrung in my opinion.
