he is nto more ruthless, he is not more skilled- where are his skill feats?- he sucker punch wonder man. and colossus have had good showing agaisn marvel top tiers; recently the nimrods have to adapt to dismember him( nimrods are already class 100) and even do he took two nimrods.
i don't know what are you bringing up wolverine enhaced by a demon vs colossus- it was shwon he was enhaced by the demon-, it took more than one slash to penetrate colossus, even if it did penetrate colossus, i don't see that is relevant to the fight, as ares has not the tools to do that to colossus.

1) i am basing myself on feats 2) ask any respectable debater (Vance Astro,Dane,Ferro Vida,Creator,Spidey_15) on this site and they will agree The Thing has feats that puts him on class 100 3) i have yet to see a single feat,fact or argument posted by those that are supporting Ares,while Colossus has plenty support from not only known and respected users,as well as evidence and arguments for his favor
Ares even cyclops admitted they have no way for taking down ares during dark reign i believe plus ares has restrained Hercules in holds so being stronger doesn't mean u win its how u fight as ares is dead brutal in what he does as i doubt colossus could really hurt ares .
Ares feats beating a-bomb ,a-bomb got in some brutal hits & it never knocked out Ares ,stalemating skaar ,destroying buildings one hit with his axe ,Knocking out wolverine one punch ,Defeating x-man well stalemating him but he also followed X-man outta time to continue fighting him ,dunno if his mini are canon but hes defeated half the world back many many years ago during Mikaboshi first attack as Ares helped to defeat him as not even hercules could stop his army ,Ares had to do it . Ares fight with war machine ,one shotting swamp thing , Ares rips open a portal that Eden says only he controls who goes through. I'm sure theres many more .

Ares stomps. They are similar in strength but Ares is a far more exp combatant with a stop at nothing mentality. Its like putting a big kid vs a seasoned man of the same size. The man stomps because the other is just a boy. Colossus is nothing more than a big kid compared to Ares aka THE GOD OF WAR!

If it was a durability contest maybe, sure. But its not, its a fight and Ares has a lot more of it than Colossus. I like Colossus but he can't take Ares. Be an ugly fight but Ares would win.

collosus is not resistant to adamantium he is just made of steel
Colossus is way stronger and more durable. Ares may be a better fighter, but he isn't good enough to avoid all of Colossus' blows, and he'd need to. Add in that he can't really even hurt Colossus, and it's pretty much a stomp.
@EpitomeofCool: because he is not good enough to take Ares. ares is a super brawler with experience and durability he is a god. Ares would ultimately kill colossus
@Snakeguy: Colossus is organic steel, but he's harder than osmium and more flexible. That means that he is in fact resistant to adamantium. It takes significant strength, combined with specific grades of adamantium to pierce him. Besides, Ares doesn't have any adamantium here, its h2h only and he's nowhere near Colossus' strength.

No they aren't. Ares can lift like, 70 tons max. Colossus is far stronger. And Ares rarely shows any kind of combat skill.
@BarelyAverage: You bring up a good point. For as durable and skilled as colossus is, he usually has to be pushed over the edge to display any kind of "killer instinct." Ares, on the other hand, will go right for the throat, every time. That's a distinct psychological advantage.
Ares has "combat skill" but giving him the title "God of War" really means nothing to the Marvel Ares. He has "combat skill" i suppose but he is more impulsive. This "combat skill" does not help him devise tactical plans. He himself has admitted that Athena is the one who uses her intellect during times of war not him. With all his combat skill i fail to see how he would hurt Colossus. Colossus is far stronger putting and far more durable.
And as far as going for the "throat" i could see Ares being more bent on killing Colossus then Colossus killing him. But i just don't see Ares putting him down with his steel up.
