Ewwwwwww.at last picture Im not sure who wins. Dont really know anything about the james
#3 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@HolySerpent: He's the protagonist of upcoming video game, Prototype 2.
#4 Posted by HolySerpent (12728 posts) - - Show Bio
Yeah. Okay now i know who he is. Im going with cole on this one. His powers are much versatile and hes much more powerful
#5 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@HolySerpent: Oh, and did you know in Prototype 2, Alex Mercer has become the villain?
#6 Posted by Skaddix (3119 posts) - - Show Bio

Hmm hard the healing factor is pretty darn impressive not to mention the superhuman speed.

#7 Posted by HolySerpent (12728 posts) - - Show Bio
Actually this could be good fight.
#8 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@HolySerpent: Tell me about it. The old protagonist of inFamous series vs. the new protagonist of Prototype series.
#9 Posted by NeonNemesis (353 posts) - - Show Bio

How can you know what a character is capable of before the game is on is even lauched? Everything will be pure speculation and we don't know the extents of his powers. AFAIK he might have his ass kicked in the end of the game in a embarassing defeat by Mercer and he becomes the protagonist again.

#10 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@NeonNemesis: Then that would be the setting for Prototype 3.
#11 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@HolySerpent: Actually, I think James wins, just like in Cole MacGrath vs. Alex Mercer battle with the latter being the winner.

I don't think you understood it, he might be hyped into growing more powerfull than Mercer, and then Mercer kills him in a embarassing way showing he's not even close to being a match for him.
You can't judge him only by trailers, you need story and the cutscenes to judge that, not to mention that there is also the possibility of many stuff being cut from the game.
I'll bring Legacy of Kain Soul reaver as an example where in the original version Raziel was suposed to drain a part of Kain's soul that would make him traverse between realms at will without the need of portals, he would adquire enhanced TK, possession, two more powerfull reavers amongst the other elemental reavers that didn't into that game, and killed Kain. Yet that game ended up in the hyperbolic chamber without none of those events happening since all of that was cut.

The same can happen here.
#13 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@NeonNemesis: Well, that's the suggestion for the ending of Prototype 2.
#14 Posted by Grandmaster_Fro (45 posts) - - Show Bio

Cole all the way. He's easily more powerful then Mercer. If u have played through inFamous, u see how powerful he can become. I played through Prototype, and wasn't nearly as impressed by his powers as i was with Cole

#15 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@Grandmaster_Fro: But can he beat the new protagonist of Prototype 2?
#16 Posted by IonicColeMacGrath (7 posts) - - Show Bio
@MonsterObsessor: If Cole Could get some distance on Heller he could maybe win, if he had unlimited Ionic Powers Cole could win that way to
#17 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@IonicColeMacGrath: It's a possibility.
#18 Posted by venomoushatred1001 (12334 posts) - - Show Bio

After playing Infamous 2, I have to say Cole after a good fight.

#19 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@venomoushatred1001: Well, how can win someone who can turn his body into a weapon like Alex Mercer?

By hiiting him with intense lightining until he dies.
#21 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@venomoushatred1001: Then James will just regenerate and absorb Cole.
#22 Posted by spawn devil (938 posts) - - Show Bio

Well, by the end I assume James will be as powerful as Alex was at the end of the first game + the new tendrils power and the Blacklight Virus injection explosion. Anyway, Cole in Infamous 2, at the ending has an incredible array of powers, considering they are both ice and fire, + electric rockets, blasts and the ionic powers, not to mention that if he is the bad ending Cole, he gets The Beast's power. Basically, it goes like this: Good ending Cole is beaten by Heller, bad ending Cole stomps Heller.

#23 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@spawn devil: You should know one thing about Cole: Good him is the canon and primary while Evil him is the non-canon and "what if".
#24 Posted by spawn devil (938 posts) - - Show Bio
@MonsterObsessor: I know, Sucker Punch said the good ending was canon. But I was just considering both options.

While I'm getting pumped for prototype 2, I would rather wait till the game comes out before making a thread.
#26 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@Death Certificate: Well, while waiting, decide who will win for this battle?
#27 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio

Any other suggestions?

#28 Posted by Enzeru--defunct (2923 posts) - - Show Bio

We actually don't know about Hellers power-level yet, but I don't expect him to be weaker / much weaker then Mercer, so I would say Heller.
Mercers regeneration at the end of the game was impressive. His devastating attacks were powerful and his ability to to consume other people and morph into them would be great for sneaky attacks.

Mercer > Heller > Cole
But maybe that's just the fanboy in me talking.

#29 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio
@Enzeru: You know, I could say James could be more powerful than Alex because his powers, such as the blade, can be upgraded, something that Alex doesn't have of. Therefore, James curbstomps Cole.
#30 Posted by SevenWinds (15 posts) - - Show Bio

Cole takes this easily. He'll electrocute Heller into next week.
#31 Posted by GTG12 (1575 posts) - - Show Bio

Cole via ionic vortex. I think.
#32 Posted by zoomstompsanbody (13 posts) - - Show Bio

heller wins because of the obvious reason cole cant take alex and hellers supposed to kill alex

Mercer has been hit by a nuclear bomb and survived it ?_?
#35 Posted by MonsterObsessor (1192 posts) - - Show Bio

What are Cole's new powers with James having the Biobomb and Tendrils?

#36 Posted by gingerpenny (948 posts) - - Show Bio

Some examples and I think it could go either way

James

Heller should take this from what I've seen. Cole has no way of getting away from Heller, who displays greater movement speed and reflexes than Cole has. Although Cole should be on level with his future counterpart Kessler, he hasnt shown movement or reaction speed anywhere close to Kessler's levels.

Heller will in fact be able to tank Cole's electricity powers, and should be able to tank most of his other abilities given his durability showings and healing factor.

But none of this really matters. Heller's massive versatility, strength, damage output and speed advantage makes for a very dead Cole McGrath.

#40 Edited by Strider92 (16758 posts) - - Show Bio

Eventually Heller will be as strong as Mercer (if he's going to try and kill him anyway). Mercer could beat Cole and as Heller has all his abilities (plus a few more I believe) Heller should take this. We really need to play the game first though.

#41 Posted by HolySerpent (12728 posts) - - Show Bio

I want to say cole because of his power out put

#42 Posted by HolySerpent (12728 posts) - - Show Bio

Bump- because I can

#43 Posted by spartan92 (2520 posts) - - Show Bio

WARNING: BIG SPOILER.

#45 Posted by HolySerpent (12728 posts) - - Show Bio

The graphics are so crappy.^^^^

#46 Posted by HolySerpent (12728 posts) - - Show Bio

I really think cole can beat him....especially with ice powers

#47 Edited by CurbsideProphet (1906 posts) - - Show Bio

Cole, because I hate James Heller. Although I was a big fan of his cursing, my favorite part about him.
Unless Heller curses him to death.

James and Alex would destroy Cole easily. Almost every attack they have will kill Cole instantly or very seriously hurt him.

The only way to kill Alex is to fully consume him (which James didn't do, he tore his arms off and threw them to the side, and didn't consume them, meaning Alex could come back and is still alive), he took a nuke and instantly came back. Cole would disintegrate. Their resistance to damage is also much higher than Cole's.

They both also have a HUGE intelligence advantage over Cole (they gain the knowledge of everybody they consume, which was a lot of people, including scientists), so that gives them a big advantage when it comes to gameplanning and what-not.

As for strength, that easily goes to Mercer and Heller. At the beginning of Prototype 2, Alex effortlessly picks up a tank with one arm and flings it like a frisbee. That gives them an advantage in punching and kicking power in close range combat (one hit will likely kill or seriously injure Cole, especially with Alex's muscle mass power-up), and they can also use projectiles.

The devastator attacks would put an end to Cole very quickly. Of course, they can shapeshift their body into weapons, and can pick up weapons from soldiers and use them.

Really, I don't see how Cole could beat either of them.

bump (because I'm bored)
