Cloud can Cast Fire ,Electricty, water, Healing and Wind spells and also shoot magical orb from his sword

Is that official, or is that just what he can do in the games? Like, if you look at the movie he was in, and possible comics out there(don't know if they actually exist or not), can Cloud really do all that?

i am just basing his abillites form the games he is in

i haven't seen cloud in any movies

I don't know about using Materia in Advent Children, I don't remember him getting into it too heavily. However, his level of agility, durability, speed and strength in AC was at least equal if not superior to anything I've seen Palpatine do. His leaping ability is so potent that it might as well be flight.

I'd say Cloud wins simply because the Emporor is cowardly and not really that much of a fighter...Now, if this was Cloud vs. Vader? Different story...

Palp did take out four Jedi Masters, one of them being Mace. The other three were also supposed to be very good, though the movie made them look stupid (because unless you show their previous exploits, having them cut down that quickly by Palpatine makes them look stupid rather than making Palpatine look better, which was most likely the original intention)

He didn't take out Mace. Anny took out Mace from behind while Mace was busy frying Palpatine. Palpatine does not have a victory over Mace.

I'm not saying he can't defend himself, I'm just saying that Palpy is a smooth talker and politician before he's a swordsman. If there's a situation he can't talk he way out of, he's in trouble. Now, Vader, Vader is the sword without a sheath. He is the combatant of the two. That's way Sidious had him around, so that he had someone could fight do his fighting for him...so, yeah.

My mistake. Anakin did help, though Palp was the one who chucked him out the window.

But he did take out the other three very easily, which according to EU literature, were no slouches... supposed to be some of the best, in fact.

And he stood toe-to-toe with Yoda, who is awesome.

Here's another question...

WOuldn't Palp's saber be able slice right through Cloud's big sword?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it would...Plus, people don't seem to register the Emporor's Force Lightning, or the Force in general during this fight...

EU Palpatine stomps. essence transfer, thought bomb, memory walk, force destruction, wormhole and his relativistic speed is too much for cloud to handle.

Either one of these moves can secure a win. and using mind trick he can make cloud kill himself.
