Shao Khan, SKotal Khan, or Raiden? They can barely hold their own vs meta humans.
So no, Sonya does not fight larger threats. She even with her Sentry Drone and guns cannot even beat someone like Sagat let alone Sonya.

@xerothehedgeh209: They normally use composite characters, utilize out-of-context scans as evidence to superiority, and disregard any factors that may prove detrimental and contradictive to a specific character they have deemed the winner; thus, ruling out the actual winner.
In other words, Death Battle is bias. The real issue is they claim to research. One Minute Melee is far better, and they don't claim research. Flip of a coin really.
