Chris he is older and far more experienced than Leon is not to mention he was the point man for STARS perhaps only second to Wesker in terms of accuracy and gun skills. Also Chris has faced far worse than Leon has and overcome it but i am talking about gun use only here if it turned into a knife fight things would be interesting ;)

Leon seems a lot more agile (running up a wall to dodge lasers) than Chris, who looks like he has better close combat/strength (moving that giant freaking boulder at the end of RE5) and long range skills (shooting a gun out of someone's hand).
I think it would be a draw, or maybe a close win for Chris.

Highly trained fighters, with similar skills, and similar experiences and encounters. They play like the same dude in both games. They both have loads of experience with zombies, Umbrella, the virus etc. They both have chicks that have the hots for them. Their differences are minute/inconsequential at best.

Its not obvious but I like to think they do when I play through the game. Also those two chicks in the Resident Evil: Degeneration Dvd movie had the hots for Leon as well. You can sort of tell in the cutscenes of the games, at least I think so

Wesker doesn't appear in RE4 does he? Its the invincible Russian and some fugly Spanish dude. Since the only common enemies they faced are zombies, tyrants and licker and infected dogs its impossible to really compare both characters. I don't think there's any difference between the two.

Wesker appeared in Ada's communicator,but Leon never met him (funny to think,the only protagonists at RE who never met Wesker were Leon,Carlos and Billy)

leon is nowhere on the same level as chris help or no help chris defeated wesker plain and simple and you act as if leon never had assistance from ada i remember leon not eving be able to hold his own against krauser or saddler and chris is been declared the best marksman for star why do you thnk he was recruited. chris has been to able to eliminate many at a time in all games. since you wanna talk about leon walking on walls to doge lasers how about i bring up the time chris has defeated a huge tyrant alone and destroying a bow creature. trust me chris has way more feats than leon.

chris doesnt even use the beretta anymore he hasnt since he was still partners with jill and that wasnt even his gun it was a gun that he founded that belonged to jill after she came up missing. chris uses the m92f pistol or l hawk magnum. leon may have the agility but chris has the strenght and experience which is enough to take leon out.
