With prep time on his side Thanos has defeated celestials before, Doom has done so in other realities.
With an unspecified prep time, sure they can.
This is such bs, you're telling me these characters can now defeat Celestials?? And yet Dr. Doom is a mere dictator and Ben had kicked his @$$ several times! Please, just give Celestials some respect and don't bring up PIS scenarios.

You sound mad. Just calm down, realize Doom's stolen power of Galactus and Beyonder before (both superior to most Celestials), realize that Thanos has gotten the Infinity Gauntlet before, and that they could win off of that alone, not counting any nifty gadgets they come up with, or Doom just constantly stealing all of their powers.
Doom has ALL THE PREP time in the world to beat the FF. To this day the FF have his number. Nuff said.
@blackdog2009: Doom did steal Galactus's powers though...

Galactus is a dumb ass but then I suppose so are the Celestials
A celestial like Scathan can solo quite easily and I think so can Tiamut,TOAA, and Exitar.
Thanos with unlimited prep is no where near LTS level while Scathan is above LT.
Scathan isn't above LT
@deathbyants: In his showing he is.
LT couldn't defeat Protege while Scathan disapproved him with ease.
Scathan transported protege and beyonder while they were fighting without them knowing.
They then realised they were fighting on scathan's hand.
LTS also respects Scathan with great respects and couldn't himself defeat protege after drawing power from the ancient ones amulet.
How isn't that not above LT.
Let's just agree that we don't know what Scathan is capable of but this clearly doesn't put him below LT.
@zhahanel: Thanos has defeated Living Tribunal before. In fact killed him and resurrected him.
@claymore1998: I don't see him defeating LT without the IG or the HOTU.
He isn't well above LT either.
I haven't seen him defeat LT with no enchantments.
Scans?
@zhahanel: he defeated LT when he had Heart of the Universe during Marvel The End story arc.
I am a little unsure to why that would not count in a thread where he has unlimited prep.
@zhahanel: obviously with unlimited prep Thanos is going to get HOTU or IG amirite?
Unless team 2 has some sort of plot device ie. IG or HOTU then the Celestials don't even notice Doom or Ultron and if the combined might of Odin/Zeus/Vishnu doesn't bother Celestials then neither will Thanos.

I will agree that I have no idea what Scathan is capable of, and I never will. Scathan was nothing more than a plot device for a single arc of GoG. We probably won't ever see him again because he is uniportant. LT has numerous high end feats that are undisutable, no no knows the spectrum of what Scathan can and cannot do therefore it isn't plausible to assume he is stronger than the second strongest entity in the Marvel Universe from a single action.
Team wins IMO.
@maninthemountain: Nope I don't see him getting it.
@claymore1998: I am not sure when he gets HOTU with unlimited prep.
@zhahanel: with unlimited prep when does not even matter my friend.
He has done it before so he could like do it again.
@deathbyants: There you are talking about protege defeating Scathan which is not what I am on about.
Where in writings has it been proved that Scathan is just a celestial? This is just because of his lacks of feats which certainly doesn't puts him below LT.
Scathan's powers are neutral and his disapproving abilities have blinded protege before he got defeated.
Can LT blind him like that?
He himself couldn't defeat protege although drawing powers from the ancient ones amulet.
If LT is is second to TOAA within the multiverse but there are others that are from beyond and for a matter of fact,Scathan was never proved to be an ordinary celestial.
Is Fulcrum more powerful than LT?,Then so is Tiamut. And this is how you are arguing about Scathan being below LT.
@claymore1998: All it was said that he has being given a long time to prep.
If he does gets the IG which LT have stopped working from the universe he still isn't proved to be above Scathan and nor is he with LT,Just very close to it.
'Thanos can't just go and steal the Anubis type HOTU'
STALEMATE or Celestial Stomp!!
Stalemate at most would be best case scenario for team. (if going by feats)
Otherwise Celestials WIN in an brutal stomp.
Leaning towards Celestials tho....
@cosmic_reign: Tiamut's ascension ? Are you talking about his meeting with The Fulcrum? Because from my understanding that was just him finally developing a self awareness.
Also Tiamut is dead at the moment so I am not sure if he would even be a part of this debate.
I hate battles with prep, especially when they have to do with Thanos, Doom or Batman because eventually it just turns into 'Thanos would go grab cubes or the IG or hotu' or 'Doom has absorbed the powers of Galactus and Beyonder' etc. If you want Thanos to have the IG or a cosmic cube in a fight then just give it to him. If you want Doom to have the powers of some other being then just give that to him. With prep is just an awful premise for a battle imo, especially when its something like months and with characters such as the above.

If going by feats? Team absolutely murderstomps the sh!t out of the celestials.
plz enlighten me on the on-panel feats from team that would make this a murderstomp.
HOTU Thanos is the only feat that may stalemate a Celestials on-panel feat.

HOTU? Celestials? Stalemate? if you had any respect on this website, you just lost it.
Only way team 1 losses is if they figth each other
You do realise how powerful the HOTU is right?

RESPECT not needed nor cared for....
IMO, being labeled equal to TOAA by an aspect of TOAA (on panel) trumps any feat in comics including HOTU saga...IMO...

When Thanos had the HoTU he was TOAA....
Arguably!! Thanos may have possessed TOAAs powers thru the HOTU which is why I say stalemate....but for whatever the reason, Thanos surrendered those powers.
Tiamut is an unfinished story but not yet retconned...
This needs so much more specification. How much is "long time prep"?
If long enough, team 2 easily wins.
