this shall be fun as I have not fully had the chance to represent this character as of yet.
Quasar wields two immensely powerful Quantum Bands in his role as the Protector of the Universe.
As the character has evolved, Quasar has had an interesting career. He has been a member of the Avengers, and has ever been the epitome of a "cosmic" character. He has saved the lives of Watchers, battled Galactus with the FF, succeeded Mar-Vell as protector of the Universe, defeated "the presence", fought in the Infinity Gauntlet, wielded the Starbrand, fought in Operation Galactic Storm, fought in the Infinity War, his "death" at the hands of Annihilus in Annihilation, his resurrection and time in the Thanos Imperative / tenure in the team of Annihilators (upper echelon cosmic team consisting of Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, Ronan, and Gladiator) and the Earthfall series.
Quasar is a foe to be reckoned with, and Herald level in credibility to say the least.
Quasar's Quantum Bands allow him to control all forms of energy and generate constructs of any shape including force fields, giant weapons and a suit of protective armor. The bands allow him to fly, create teleportation portals into the Quantum Zone and protect him from mental attacks/telepathy.
Primarily, the bands are tools for manipulating forms of energy. A bearer of the quantum-bands can affect, alter, absorb, and channel any form of energy found in the Electromagnetic spectrum, from Gamma Rays to Radio Waves, and this also includes visible light.
The bands can construct anything the wearer can imagine from "Quantum energy", This energy is derived from the Quantum-Zone, although the bands can absorb energy from all known sources. The Quantum Bands bond with their bearer upon contact interfacing the bearer's mind with the Bands allowing for mental control. Permanently affixing themselves generally to the bearer's wrists, the flesh and bone within rendered indestructible so long as the bond with the bands persists. The bond can only be broken upon the bearer's death, at which point the bands could be removed easily.
Foes who manipulate matter, psionically or otherwise, the Quantum Bands cannot effect their powers. They deal with energy, not matter. The Molecule Man, Sersi,Phoenix,Her, and theSilver Surfer, among others, affect matter in a way that a bearer of the Q-bands cannot. However, Her, Sersi, and the Silver Surfer use cosmic energy to power their matter manipulation abilities and therefore a practiced bearer could affect the energy source, but not the ability itself
Simple. Any energy based being or being that is using energy based attacks is rendered inert by Quasar (that yellow lantern ring? useless. Superman's solar fuel? hahahahaha). He also employs incredibly strong shielding capabilities, energy constructs (such as GL's) used offensively and defensively, respectable speed capabilities, and is protected against TP based attacks (even though that won't apply here). I will go into deeper detail on this in the debate itself.
and with that it's time to dive into the debate!
INJUSTICE SUPERMAN!
I assume I don't need to tell Clark Kent's origin story. I will however give a brief introduction on the Injustice storyline and what makes him different from standard Pre/New 52 Kal-El. Skip this part if you don't want spoilers.
In Issue 1, the Joker decided that "playing with Batman was no fun," so he decided to torment the less psychologically resilient Superman instead. He killed Jimmy Olsen, and set up a trap for Superman, a submarine filled with Kryptonite gas and Scarecrow's fear gas. He also abducted Lois Lane.
So under the influence of the gas, Superman thought Lois was Doomsday, and in order to protect Lois, he brought "Doomsday" into space to fight. But by this time, the gas had worn off and he'd realized what he'd done, too late as Lois suffocated.
In addition, Joker had laced Lois's heart with a trigger to a bomb, and when it stopped beating, the bomb destroyed Metropolis and everyone in it.
Following this incident, Superman decided to take security into his own hands, and became dictator of the fascist state that was Earth. Injustice follows his exploits, and those of Batman who tries (unsuccessfully for five years) to stop him.
Significant character arcs include Injustice, Years 1, 2, and 3 (and perhaps 4 if this CaV goes on long enough) and the Injustice Video Game.
Superman hasn't shown much prowess with creating constructs or blasts, but the Yellow Lantern Ring he received from Sinestro further enhances his already incredible stats.

To display Superman's lack of restraint, and validate a speed-blitz scenario, let's check out Convergence #1:
Here, Superman refuses to aid the denizens of Gotham city, simply because they stood against him in his war with Batman.
Clark isn't going to hold back here. He will use the tactic referred to as a speed-blitz to kill Quasar.
Clark is primarily a physical being. He uses heat vision yes, but his pure speed and strength combined with freeze breath comprise his battle playbook.
This section will simply give a preview of Superman's prowess in physical categories.
This section was meant to be a preclude to my showcasing of Superman's true strength feats. If you're unimpressed, just keep that in mind.
I can already tell from your previous post that draining will be a big part of your argument. However, it's not going to have as big of an impact as you think.
With the Yellow Lantern Ring, Superman's power source is the fear of more than 7 billion people. You'd have to literally be able to suck the planet dry of all emotion to drain him that way.
And if you try to drain his solar cells, Superman will simply fly to the sun like he did in the finale of Year Two; once there, you'd have to drain the entire sun to incapacitate him that way.
What Quasar are going to look like at the end of the fight (the Joker) ^^^^
