CaV: Goku (PCB) vs Superman (CYE) [GOKU WON]

Goku (孫 悟空, Son Gokū), born Kakarot (カカロット, Kakarotto), is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball metaseries created by Akira Toriyama.

Cheerful, courageous and also a bit naive, Goku is a Saiyan originally sent to Earth as an infant with the mission to destroy it. However, an accident alters his memory, causing him to grow up pure-hearted and later become Earth's greatest defender, as well as the informal leader of the Z Fighters.[13] Throughout his life, he trains hard and strives to be the greatest warrior possible, while at the same time using his amazing strength and skills to uphold peace

• Ki manipulation. (Ki = Life Energy.)
• Ki Sense
• Master Martial Artist.
• Fighting Genius
• Kaioken (Stat amp, can be used up to x4).
• Solar Flare (Light, blinds enemies, unless they're wearing a fresh pair of shades.)
• Afterimage.
• Flight
• Superhuman Physicals.
• Fresh Hair.

Strength:

Admittedly, Goku is not going to want to get hit by Supes, considering when he doesn't hold back space stations shake! Bu let me clear this up first, Lifting Strength is really irrelevant here, it doesn't correlate with your punching strength at ALL.

Now for Supes' Durability, IIRC his greatest "feat" is this:

I'm taking this with a grain of salt, Considering he's never shown durability close to that in N52, and he just said Nuclear reactors after it like they were in the same ballpark.

Now for Goku's punching strength vs Superman's durability.

Goku is able to hurt Nappa with normal punches, when Piccolo and Tiens blasts had little to no affect on him. To put this into perspective, a weaker Piccolo than the one that fought Nappa did this:

With a single blast he vaporized the moon. It's safe to say that Goku has partial moon busting Striking strength (I say partial because Goku holds back a lot.)

"Yo PCB if he can punch that hard how come when he punches he doesn't level everything around him?" Well, Fighters in DBZ Amp their physical strength using Ki, the same source they use for energy projection, so like all characters that use power sources for attacks, they can adjust the radius to a fine point, so they only damage what they want. My favorite example of this is when PR Molecule Man hits PR Beyonder with "an attack that can collapse over a billion dimensions", yet it doesn't even destroy the apartment they're in. Does anybody disagree with PR beyonder or MM? No, because like everyone else they can control their power.

Speed:

"Yeah but Superman can hit him back like twice as hard!". He might be able to produce that much power, but can he land the hit?

First, Goku can use afterimages to distract Superman and get the drop on him:

"Lolno X-ray vision MVP that won't work".

Superman doesn't really use his X-ray vision in the midst of battle much, so it should dupe him at least once or twice.

Second, Goku has a marginal advantage in combat speed. Let me clear this up also, Travel Speed =/= Combat Speed.

Superman has traveled (accelerated) FTL efore, but he hasn't fought at FTL speeds before.

As for Combat speed, as a relatively untrained child he was able to react to bullets and avoid them, and dodge high velocity energy beams.

Then while he was training with Kami (God at the time), he learned how to fight Faster Than Lightning

Then later on, he managed to catch a Dragonball before it beamed across the planet.

Dragonballs beam across the Earth in an instant, other dragonballs have traveled space at FTL speeds.

Another impressive Speed feat in this Category is Goku dodginig the solar flare from Tien.

Solar Flare is light and Goku managed to avoid it long enough to grab some sunglasses from Roshi.

Based on these feats it's safe to say Kid Goku can Fight/React at sublight speeds.

Then as a teenager he increased his speed so much Kami (God at the time) couldn't even see him.

While not necessarily quantifiable it's still impressive.

Then onto DBZ, we see Raditz and Nappa being able to dodge Piccolo's fastest attack.

To put in perspective, his regular energy blast was able to destroy the moon in about a second.

So it's safe to say the two Saiyans have FTL Combat/Reaction speed at a minimum.

Then Nappa was blitzed by Goku, who was hardly trying.

Therefore Goku blitzes people with minimally FTL Reaction/Combat speed casually, meanwhile Superman doesn't have FTL combat speed at all.

So it's going to be quite difficult for Superman to tag Goku, as I've shown consistent superior combat Speed for Goku, and this is him without even using Kaioken.

Durability:

As for Goku's durability if he does get tagged.

Goku has taken Nappas strongest attack without a scratch, this attack should be moon level. (Considering Master Roshi and a weaker Piccolo have destroyed the moon, and Nappa was ROFLstomping a stronger Piccolo and other Z fighters.).

But nonetheless, even if you want to say that attack isn't moon level (Which via common sense it is.), Nappa has casually busted countries/Continents with two fingers and Made the planet shake from powering up.

Superman has the advantage in striking strength (I think), but Goku is just too fast for Superman to hit. Superman's durability is impressive, but over time Goku will be able to tax his reserves and put him down. The main deciding factor is that Supeman doesn't really fight battles with this intensity level, most of the time (off panel) he's helping people and stopping Street Levelers, whereas Goku consistently fights at this level and trains at this intensity in order to be strong enough to beat his next opponent.
