The fight takes place in Gotham City. It's a fight to see who knock who out first. Before people call this mismatched, Batman has about an hour prep time before Carnage comes after him. There are civilians around, and Batman has his morals. This is just regular Carnage.
Carnage vs Batman
prep bats wins
random bar fight carnage slaughters
i just thought I would throw this in, it has nothing to do with said fight, but shows Batman can easily come up with ways to incapacitate powerful opponents on the fly
LOL owned
This actually happened in the comics once.
Batman had no prep and won. It was really stupid.
He basically weakened Carnage by calling him afraid of death.
Like I said, it was really stupid.

Carnage for the stomp. Prep only helps if intel is available to prep with.

This.
I don't care if Batman has prep or not. If he doesn't know anything about Carnage how is he supposed to prep for him?
Carnage wins imo:
Random encounter Batman has nothing to counter him with and prep only helps if you have the necessary intel to back it up.
Carnage wins, but not as easily as he would in a random encounter, since the Caped Crusader's prepped for this battle. Still, Batman won't be able to beat him, IYAM, for Carnage has trashed Spider-Man and Venom both at once. Guess Carnage is having bat meat for dinner tonight, huh?
I'm sure batman will find away to win I think he has anti-everything haters vs and spray so I'm sure he'll be fine
@Floopay: exactly what I was thinking. Carange is an absolute beast. I think Bats would need more prep

Anyone wanna provide me a single feat of Batman beating anyone anywhere remotely close to Carnage's level with only an hour prep? I want scans, not claims please.
Thanks for reading,
Floopay
Well....
I'm really hoping you're using these scans as a joke...
One hour prep, without info, is not going to help a lot. Carnage takes it unless batman has some data on him, AND he uses sonic devices.. Otherwise he gets slaughtered.
@dondave said:
@Floopay: Technically, wouldn't batman only need to get a few sonic devices to incapacitate carnage.
That's what I was thinking. I'm pretty sure the paranoid Bat would bring loads of gear (not enough to call it a run out) to use against him. I don't even think he'd do that. I think he should carry at least 3 sonics on him at all times. But in the end, it's only a claim.

If Batman knows that Carnage has a weakness to both sonics and extreme heat, he takes this with one hours prep.
In't carnage extremely durable to these things? Venom is the one who's super vulnerable to them.
The thing with prep is, Batman doesn't know what Carnage is. The OP doesn't say he knows and he'd have to, to prep properly.
@Strider92: @Wyldsong: @GrandSymbiote94: @First_Last: @Floopay:
I think if the OP gave him prep, it should be highly implied that he has some intel on Carnage.
regardless. Carnage should stomp.
@CaptainDoeo: Prep does not auromatically indicate knowledge. Usually knowledge on a foe is given or not given in battles. Now, you could argue he uses his prep time to gain knowledge, but how much can he realistically gain in an hour, which also causes him to lose time on any other prep.
@Wyldsong: This is the first battle I've ever seen someone claim this. Why else would the OP give him prep?

Because some people feel prep will help regardless. If the OP intended Bats to have knowledge, then he/she needs to clarify, as I can find plenty of threads where the OP intended prep w/out knowledge, and prep with knowledge.

Why else would he give them prep? That'd just be a waste of energy to type it. I have yet to see any thread where someone said "prep but w/ no knowledge." Would you send me one of these threads?

Your biggest clue on this issue should be the number of posters in this very same thread that have brought the issue up. From the battle forum rules, this is what prep is:
how much time they get before the fight (prep)
That quite simply indicates they get time before the fight to prep. That does not indicate they get automatic knowledge on a foe. Now, you can argue that, which is fine by me -- but there is nothing in there that indicates automatic knowledge, and if I get the time, I'll dig up some threads for you for perusal and PM them to you so as not to derail the thread further.
One hour of prep is not nearly enough. I hate to tell all of you fanboys, but Batman is just a regular human he'd never win this. Even if he did manage to get a sonic device or fire Carnage is just too fast for him to even touch. Carnage needs to hit him only once, Carnage wins EASILY!

You do have a point. I'm about to start bringing this up in other threads.
Even if Bats had prep and knowledge (which unless explicitly stated, he does not), it wouldn't be enough for Carnage. He can tank a fair amount of sonic damage from any traps Bats might set, and that's assuming he doesn't spot them himself. And Carnage is far, far too fast for Bats to be able to even come near to hitting with any of his normal weapons (sonic Batarangs, incendiary pellets, sonic pellets, etc...), most of which are calibrated much too low anyway. The only chance Bats might have is if Carnage decides to play with his food (as he is sometimes wont to do). But even then, I don't see Batman being able to hit Carnage even once before Carnage gets bored and ends him.
