" @OhTru said:yes sir..." @Buckshot said:Billy has the Wisdom of Solomon when he calls on it. A very clear example of this was when he came up with the idea to use Johnny Sorrow to overcome Despero in JLA / JSA: Virtue & Vice. Its a power he has. ""Billy has no wisdom He's often portrayed as an idiot, naive kid. You will never see him in a top 10 list he's always leagues behind Wonder Woman and Superman. The only reason he shines in front of Supes is because of Superman's magic weakness "Sling Shot says:
"Solomon's wisdom is greater than Batman's "infallible" contigency strategy which I'm sure most people would say could beat Thor..."
Does everything have to come back to your dislike for Batman?

Captain (SHAZAM) Marvel vs. Thor
Why was this bumped? Anyway, just the perfect time to share (a.k.a. boast .. Hehe!) my artwork on this.
This really isn't a good matchup for Thor. He's going up against a guy who's vastly stronger and faster, while also being every bit as durable. Thor is just too tough for his own good sometimes and will end up taking a beating here.
Captain Marvel has the power of the GODS (not really, I don't remember Solomon being a God), Thor IS a God. Demi-God loses to REAL God every time.
why are the first comments hate thor, hate marvel,or hate marvel and thor?xD
Going with cap purely on speed.
@Gyle said: Wizard Entertainment is the worst DC/Marvel crossover, it had Batman beating Spider-Man with a nerve punch top the gut (match didn't even take 5 minutes from the plot), Thor eventually KOing Superman with his punches and many more. There was also a Batman vs Dare-Devil battle where D-D knocks Batman out with his club, so yeah one can say these crossovers are that bad
Satyrquaze says:
"ulitmateninjagaidenx says:"thor all the way, he already beat him, if they fight again thor would win again, cap marvel is a ok."That Marvel vs. DC popularity contest shouldn't be in actual continuity, it had Wolverine beating Lobo and the Scarlet Spider beating Superboy for pete's sake. "Superboy vs Spider-Man and Lobo vs Wolverine was lame,at least I know the only reason why these 2 (Wolverine/Spiderman) won was because of the votes. At least that DC/Marvel crossover is better than Wizard Entertianment
One question:
Can someone post Cap. Marvel surviving attack with magical thunder without transform into human?

I have seen Captain Marvel transform into normal human by a normal lightning.
Power of Shazam, Issue 20 (page 18,19): Here Captain Marvel gets turned into Billy Batson after being hit by a lightning, nothing magical about it.
Here another instance that includes Captain Marvel Jr rather than Captain Marvel but they have exactly same connection with Shazam
Power of Shazam , Issue 14 (page 16, 17) : Captain Marvel Junior gets transformed back into Freddy Freeman after being hit by a lightning from Chain Lightning.
I think i am going with Thor can turn Marvel into Billy Batman (which seem to be the opinion you are making as well).
Thor, I could give reasons but from my knowledge of CM, even tho he can tap/has all of these gods powers. He's seems very weak over-all. Thor imo just has much more raw power potential. Marvel depicts it's Norse gods as more powerful than Dc's Olympians but i could be baised since CM seems like a boring character.

He is actually a very interesting character. Often, he is overlooked as just a supporting player to one of the major events/hero groups in the DCU.

Billy Batman sounds so cool :p
Couldn't Billy just dodge the lightning? I mean he does it all the time with his own lightning, and he seems to do that pretty easily.

I think it's Cap without a doubt. Thor's overrated. And he died. Don't remember Captain Marvel dying. And as JBElliot said, he's got the powers of multiple gods. Thor's a little momma's boy.
wow. now i know why you dont like the new thor book.

@XLR87T3: well Thor has been speed blitzed by spiderman soooooooo......
And been blitzed by Mongoose(who is slower and weaker than Captain Marvel).
Indicates inferior reflexes to Captain America, who comments that "his predecessor, AKA the original Thor, had problems with it".
Fights Wolverine, and is outpaced.
And lastly, a foot-soldier of Mikaboshi, who in no way indicates he has any super-human speed of his own, remarks on him being "slow as a cloud".

@XLR87T3: Glad to help. I would comment on your thread, but I'm only passively familiar with Conan and John Carter(though I do know Pikmin), so I wouldn't really be able to make a call on who wins in that one.
Hope this helps(This is copied from Comicvine):
Conan was a wandering fighter, mercenary, thief, and eventually King, who traveled the ancient lands of Hyboria living by his wits and physical prowess.
"Know, O Prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of thesons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars...Hither came Conan the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet."
- The Nemedian Chronicles
Conan was a wandering fighter born in Cimmeria who eventually came to rule the largest empire of the Hyborian Age.
Powers and Abilities
Characteristics
Robert Howard never gave exact details about Conan's height, weight, etc. He probably lived in a medieval type society where height averages were equal to today's average. For the Hyborian Age, he was sometimes described as "massive". Whether this refers to his height or muscle mass, or both is unknown. Estimates of these statistics vary by author, and Conan's presumed age at the time of a given tale.
- Height: 6'0 - 6'6"
- Weight: 180 - 265 lbs.
- Eyes: Blue (often described as "smoldering" or "sullen")
- Hair: Black, (often described as being "mane-like")
- Ethnicity: Cimmerian
- Skin: Conan's skin coloring is considered unusually dark for a Cimmerian (often described as being "sun-bronzed")
- Distinguishing features: Conan has numerous battle scars, especially on his face
Skills/Abilities: Conan is an accomplished hunter, unarmed combatant, sword-fighter, horseman, and archer. Conan is familiar with the following weapons: the knife, the axe, the longsword, the broadsword, the short sword, and the bow. The broadsword is his favored weapon. He was one of the most accomplished swordsmen of the Hyborian Age. He is often listed alongside D'artagnan, King Arthur, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ogami Itto and Zorro as one of the greatest fictional sword fighters in history. Conan has unusual strength, agility, and speed for a human, often lifting immense objects or enemies, and relying upon his lightning-fast reflexes in combat situations. Through years of dealing with sorcerers, magicians and witches he has developed a moderate level of resistance to magic and mind control spells. While primarily known as a wandering sell-sword, Conan progressively became a master tactician, leading entire armies into battle. Eventually, Conan became king of Aquilonia by his own hand.
Personality Conan is frequently described as being "grim", or "suffering from great melancholies". In modern times he might be diagnosed as having bipolar disorder or some other form of depression. Less frequently he can be found to be quite mirthful, and occasionally he is prone to fits of rage when in battle. He also exhibits a strong wanderlust.
Thor is a demi god, or half god. Shazam is a combination of six different gods: soloman, Hercules, Ares, Zeus, atlas, and mercury. This gives him a distinct advantage
Im not trying to be a dick or anything, but are you basing thor off of the avengers movie? I know stark described him as a demi god, but in the comics and real mythology, thor is a full blown god. In the comics, his parents are odin and jord, who is also known as gaea. If this fight were between cm and movie thor, cm would win. But comic thor is much more powerful than the watered down movie thor
