K, Thor would have to yell Shazam to summon the bolt that endowes the powers as well as takes. Thor uses power that is of Asgard, meaning that it is more powerful than lighting on earth, this said, Thor would not be able to take CMs powers from him but he might be able to hurt him........maybe. CM would win only because he is faster than Thor can comprehend.
Thor can control lightning, Cap needs lightning to power up. Thor has a better chance against him then he does against superman. If CM needs to "Shazam", to refuel his powers, Thor could simply divert this through Mjolnir and transform/mutate him into a big red Cheese and eat him. Thor has the durability to fight him one-on-one, if he can hang in long enough and discover Caps weakness, he wins.
Also I'm getting pretty tired of canon/non-canon media, what media is to be considered canon here, as cross-over comics appear to be not, do the animated/live action movie/tv series count when based on the comicbooks with approvals of the author? (Stan Lee's only approved Thor live-action appearance would eat filmations captain marvel for breakfast with a beer in his other hand)
alright i am a hudge thor fan and i think that cap marvel would win hercules strength alone can match up to thors and it isnt the lighning bolt that changes cap back its the magic of the sorcerer shazam

More specifically, Classic Thor could negate magic and strip magical characters of their enhancements. He negated the Juggernaut's personal force field (the writing admittedly ignored the fact that the Juggernaut was invulnerable without the field), depowered the Wrecker twice, and stripped the god Marduk of his powers.

I know this post is a few months old but really, CM doesn't use regular lightning to power up, it's magic in the form of lightning, if we went by this logic then any character that controls lightning could theoretically depower Bill which is a load of crap. Also classic Thor was a lot like SA Supes where he could pull a random plot device out of his @$$ which is why I take his fight with Juggernaut with a grain of salt. I will admit that Classic Thor could give him a decent fight but Billy would take the majority in the end. Current Thor would get wrecked though
@FinalStar86: You sound really into who I am funny I can't place you. Now I suggest you debate the debate not just try and instigate a flaming war. Thor is far more powerful, more skilled, and has better feats, therefore he wins.
captain marvel beats current thor- people take him as back to classic thor levels because of a hammer trick he pulled of when fighting glody but he was loosing than used mjolnir which is enhanced with odin force so its likely its more durable than ever thats why it didnt shatter when he rechanneled a blast from glody at 10X power to defeat it. But that doesnt go into any of his other abilities he loses unless classic
