Doomsday uses his WTF flame breath that somehow affects beings that can go immaterial and that is the end of captain marvel.

Ya but Doomsday has been beaten to death beofre and has adapted to that so CM only has magic left which still would lead in into doomsday winning.

Is there a REAL reason or logic or are you guys just playing favorites? I don't assume Billy would keep going head-to-head with the mongoloid and get the Wizard involved but I DO think that if he does it would be like what happened to Superman. Both die.

Whats stopping Cap Marvel from bfring DD?

As much as love billy, doomsday will win eventually but not easily.

Is it standard DD or H/P DD? Big, big difference.

H/P Doomsday destroys Billy. Destroys. This is the Doomsday that tanked Darkseid's OB. The entire League could not injure this Doomsday. He walked through Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Wally, Orion, and Kyle. WTF is Billy gonna do? Seriously.

Superman couldn't even BFR DoS Doomsday. This DD is more powerful than that one.

Billy wins and I'm not counting Doomsday coming back because it takes months for him to comeback even if he's been badly injured and why would you count him coming back because every comicbook character has that ability They never die except for uncle Ben.

@killer_of_trolls: you have to think thought how many times has captian marvel tossed some one in to the sun? not many i know of but another point is doomsday is superman specific his bones pieces kryptonian skin but that would not apply to CM, just making a point im leaning to captain marvel

Captain Marvel may be on the level of Superman when it comes to strength and yes he does have magic on his side yet he is not developed enough as a character to use them at their full potential seeing that he's a young kid in a man's body. Doomsday wins.

I believe for all intent and purpose, he does. Superman isn't particularly weak to magic, just not exceptionally resilient against it(as well as telepathy, and many other forms of attack). Same/similar as Doomsday, I imagine.

I think you are jumping to conclusion a bit, I know Superman doesn't have a weakness to magic; and that its just he isn't resistant to it.

But the Doomsday thing, I wasn't entirely aware about that, as it hasn't been portrayed as often as Superman's has.

@kingant27: No, I was simply saying that Superman and Doomsday are similar in the sense that they excel at withstanding physical-force, as opposed to different means of attack such as telepathy and magic(their resiliency against the latter two is lacking, or poorly defined in contrast).

So I don't see Captain-Marvel's 'magic' playing any less of a factor here, though Doomsday's generally portrayed as Superman's physical superior anyway(except speed-wise), and Captain-Marvel hasn't the feats to suggest he'd take a majority against a serious Superman.

I'm going with the captain, although I respect why some would say doomsday, Captain marvel is fast, like flash fast, superman even admits he is way faster than him on justice, he can move several times faster than the speed of light, he has the speed of mercury and keep in mind mercury gave his speed to the flash, so imagine the flash being able to hit someone as hard as superman or imagine two indestructible hammers hitting you at the speed of light, he has the strength of Hercules which at one point according to legend, held the entire world on his shoulds while atlas tried to trick him into taking that task, also speaking of atlas, Captain Marvel can just keep going and going without tiring, he does not need to eat, sleep, or even breath due his stamina from atlas, the titan whose task it is to hold the world on his shoulders for all eternity, also Superman's fight with DD took a psychological toll on superman while fighting him which was expressed in his internal dialogue, but Billy will remain fearless the entire time from his courage of Achilles, and he has intelligence far beyond great minds like Einstein or Hawkins, and then there's the lightning, pure energy which hurts superman so eventually it will start hurting doomsday too, but good arguments on both sides though, and its easy to see why people would say doomsday.

@XiiX how do you figure bro? You obviously don't read a lot of captain Marvel or you would know he has lifted the entire continent of South America before, as well as saved superman from soloman grundy, bizzarro, and parasite in justice, and they were kicking the shit out of supes and the captain stops them like its nothing and reassures the man of steel that everything will be OK, in kingdom come the captain is the only hero on earth at that point who can match superman's every move, and keep in mind that is a more powerful version of superman due to more years of absorbing our sun's radiation. So in theory if he is as strong as him then, then he would technically be stronger than him in a normal version, get your facts straight pimp.

It depends on which dd it is, I like both CM and DD, but either way, DD wins. Lets bring up movies, shows, etc...

CM is basically a "god" or "demi-god" powers of limitless stamina, limitness strength, magic, speed, etc. Okay, but has he ever taken a full powered om beam from darkseid? (in the comics, dd does and appears from the rumble, unscathed)

Doomsday is basically the destroyer of universes or "all-living things". Whatever kills him, he can come back to life, immune to it.

A lot of you were commenting on how CM's magic would affect DD, later in the comics about DD, he starts becoming resisted to some to nearly a lot of magic. DD soon adapta to kryptonite too and becomes completely immune. The only way to stop DD is put him in another universe, find a way to stop (completely hopefully) his ressurection and/or banish (seal) him. Other than thst, only a small amount of people can completely stop DD (I think Pre-52 Superman and Gold Superman can stop him, a few of DC's gods too..)
