I learned from one of the tourneys mar-vell can drain him of solar energy and his speed is not half bad either
But I doubt he would choose that tactic from the start of the battle. Superman is much too strong for him IMO. Cap can hold his own, like he did with Thanos and Drax, but it would be suprising if he would go to use this certain tactic here.
I also doubt in his energy projection. Not because of his feats, but again because of his ususal tactic. He may use that against villains, but not to kill a hero like Superman.

Its not that he knows superman is a villain or hero. Once he takes a few hits his cosmic awareness will probably kick in and he'll figure out the base of supeman's power

He absorbed power from the sun's rays twice, against Deathgrip and the Super-Skrull. It's no different from what Superman does 24/7 and it's not going to let him suck solar energy out of Clark's cells.
