No disrespect to Captain Atom (well, that version, anyway). But, he has yet to show superiority to Silver Surfer (who has loads more feats that are comparable or better).

As for Orion, I realize that the Astro Force is powerful (as it blocked Darkseid's Omega Effect and was later used to "kill" Darkseid in Countdown), but it may not be enough to secure a win. Maybe there's someone here who can convince me otherwise.

Round 1 I'm not sure. I was waiting on a convincing case for Orion before I made my judgement. As for Round 2 a morals off Surfer is dangerous. He could just teleport black holes into everyones head (he's actually admitted that he could do that if he wanted to.)

Pre-52 orion irrelevent? He wins round 1 easily, round 2 goes to surfer in a tough one. CA is out of his league

1) Orion as a chance but I'd say either Atom or Surfer ; 2) It's between Surfer and Atom, probably Surfer

Captain Atom would win if writers could allow him to manipulate and absorb energies, moleculues, atoms, and time more so than Chronos or the Time Trapper. Beside that, Captain Atom's fighting feats far surpasses the Silver Surfer. Orion will be the first to fall as his astro force blast will constantly be absorbed & manipulated by both Captain Atom & Silver Surfer. His mother box will protect his mind from the Silver Surfer's powerful telepathy, in addition to boom tubing him back to Galactus. But because of the Silver Surfer variety of abilities, he should be able to teleport back into the fight & take out Orion with his lightspeed board attacks. Captain Atom will then try to rush Silver Surfer, only to be finished from his psi-bolts, which Captain Atom doesn't have a defense for yet.

@ivan_jimenez86: Gonna play Devil's advocate here, Orion has a good chance here . He can also perform energy/matter manipulation too, and has some pretty high end feats as well. A morals off Orion will being all out from the start so he should be able to at least do a lot of damage. And he has fought foes like. Mantis and Darkseid before who have similar power sets to his opponents. But for round two I'm going with Silver Surfer due to feats, but who knows?

SS both rounds. n52 CA has almost no combat feats. Orion has no business being in this fight.
