CAPTAIN ATOM vs. DR. MANHATTAN
Manhattan also lacks any feats that would suggest he's capable of contending with a character as powerful and experienced as Captain Atom.Manhattan by default because he really cant be killed or knocked out by physical or scientific means.

Let's not use that kind of language here. Thanks.

The same can be said for this version of Captain Atom, who was essentially modeled after Manhattan, something that J.T. Krul stated in an interview.
What's stopping Atom from doing the same to him? Manhattan has never faced a superhuman opponent, and in fact lives in a world where he is the most powerful being on the planet by default. I seriously don't think he has the needed experience to feasibly fight a powerhouse like Atom.@Illuminatus:I agree that has few feats but what prevents him simply BFRing atom or molecularity deconstructing him.

Then would it be a stalemate?

Pretty difficult to pull off successfully, since Atom has already demonstrated the ability to reconstitute himself.

Pretty much. The only difference between the both of them is that Atom has displayed energy absorption. I haven't seen Manhattan do that.

@Static Shock:How about BFRing captain atom?
Via teleportation? Atom has already displayed that in the current issue.

i would say JUST perhaps dr m,,,but to at present its a stalemate until dr m shows more.
Dr. Manhattan can't show you more. He's only appeared in Watchmen, and hasn't been in comic books since the late 80s.
@Static Shock: exactly, hence i put stalemate, because not enough info to say he wins or loses it imo.hes powerful for sure,to beat CA not sure, and not sure CA could beat him. All dr m fights are like this, nowhere near enough feats to call them.
@Spartan101: Dr. Manhattan isn't more powerful. Captain Atom showed more impressive feats in five issues than Dr. Manhattan showed in 12 issues.
@Static Shock: ? i dont remember saying he is more powerful??? i state hes powerful, but to what what level who knows and thats where the lack of feats plays it part.
@Spartan101: Based on the way your post was worded, it looked like you were saying that Manhattan was more powerful. I'm sorry if I misread it.

Is it implausible that Atom could simply absorb Manhattan into his being since he exists as an energy form?
I don't think so.
@Static Shock: no its ok,to me its a stalemate perhaps,CA has tons more feats, but Dr m might take some stopping. no worries.:-)
Stalemate... Manhattan may not have shown impressive enough feats for the win but,He has shown the ability to reconstruct from having his intrinsic fields removed. how can you attempt to destroy someone any further than that? you cant! Im my mind it takes both molecular annihilation and Strong TP to destroy Manhattan's mind to keep him down for good.

Captain Atom. Haven't seen many feats from Dr. Manhattan to suggest otherwise. How exactly will Captain atom win??
Kill him lol
@Enemybird: And how exactly would doctor M win;since in the 5 issues he appeared in;the new version of the captain has already demonstrated that he can rebuilt himself too(in issue 2)
@CitizenBane: Aaaaaaahhh that was a good series;I totally loved it.That being said I also love the current one but for different reasons.
Dr. Manhattan is supposed to be getting his own mini-series in the Before Watchmen series. Hopefully, we'll see more of what he can do.
