I'm not a Captain Atom Fan not have I read an comics with him it pullin off kick ass feats. But I have read up on him and read of his crazy Quantum Feats.....Captain Atom like Silver Surfer has different levels of powers.....They essentially do the same tricking thing except Silver Surfer's power of cosmos is greater than Captain Atoms quantum powers....They both can stop time, time travel, molecules manipulation, Etc Etc...Surfer Wins though he's faster and has more battle experience with his powers

The evidence depend a lot of the type of characters, categories ... or what ? You mean there is no evidence on a fight with Superman versus Thor ?

Do you have two example for each ( with evidence, not speculation /personal opinion) between fight with DC characters vs Marvel characters ?

And other example, Iron Man / Cyborg, who win ?

there's a whole lot of evidence that can sway either side. the point is that whole lot of evidence is always there, just waiting to be posted.

just read the battle forums especially the CAV threads and see the whole forums at this point. you are already asking questions way beyond the premises of your thread.

Ah, now here is a good match. Current version of Captain Atom is virtually identical to the Silver Surfer in reaction speed. Both characters move between points in time with ease and are therefore immensely fast.

Nu 52's Captain Atom's only knock is he was still in the infancy of learning how to use his power while Surfer has at least two planetary level feats of matter manipulation, two planetary level destruction feats by energy discharge. Really, the only reason I see Surfer winning this is superiority of feats. Given time, Nu 52 Atom would have become a replica of the Surfer.

At this point, I go with Surfer.

It's the same things for "superhuman" characters, like Superman, Thor, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Sentry, Superboy etc. ? Only speculation, we can't know ?

For each categories of characters in DC and Marvel we can't really know ? We can really know only if we make a battle like cosmic character versus earth characters or not, it's the same thing for that?

arguers on the battle forums rely on what the comic panels show. we don't speculate on nothing, we speculate on what they showed on panel.

one can easily deduce matchups are unfair if said character has shown power in-panel greater than what his/her opponent did.

For example, HulkorThororSentry versus SupermanorWonder WomanorGreen Lantern, no one can deduce the match are unfair or not ?

We can't just make speculation / personal opinion who win ?

All of the inter company character battles are speculations by default but it can be predicted who wins which is the whole point of battle forums

I'd go with Nathan, just because I don't think Norrin can actually hurt him.

Captain Atom. He is extremely powerful in the New 52, with massive space/time manipulation.

Those who voice (Type) opinions without substantiating how they arrived at their decision are speculation yes. Other forum members try to accurately gauge how a battle will go based on how characters act and use their powers, feats to quantify the levels of powers comparatively, etc.

For example based on actual feats no one would deny that has a greater level of piercing durability than Thor. Superman is impervious and very little pierces his flesh. Thor has had his flesh pierced often. Yet courtesy of other factors in overall durability they are fairly even. Superman has a weakness to magic (well more accurately he has no more resistance to it than anyone else), and Thor wields one of the most powerful magic talismans in MU. Logically this would give Thor the advantage, but in character he is a norse man who likes to wage honorable battles so is highly unlikely to employ that against a purely physical opponent.

The point of battle threads is for forum members to create the fights they'd really like to see in comics. The way I see it posting a battle is an opportunity to tell a story you'd like to read between characters that would otherwise never meet. The beautiful thing is that because it's two way the outcome and direction can change as the debate goes on (in short it's a more evolving storyline)
