Doubtful. Not enough if at all to where it would grant Steve any sort of ability to win.

Only way i can see Cap doing any damage is by a shield toss to the eyes. Even if that worked however, he couldn't do anything else to Thing.

The Thing, easy

I for one will say Cap. even if he can't damage Gen he can out manuver him and use his superior aglity to his advantage. as has been proven you don't alway need to overpower your enemies to win like spiderman VS the juggernaut, I think that the enviroment that the fight takes place in is of importance. the island is pretty small so he can some how get Ben in the water and he will sink like a stone.

@Goku1fan: It's not really straight forward but it is doable like some real comic fights.

@battlexlordx: Thing is fine under water and it's a battle to KO so BFR won't be an option. Cap cannot knock him out in any sort of fashion here so it's a spite thread for Cap.

@deadpool6_6_6: It isn't a tough fight for Thing, more of a nuisance and in Cap's POV it's a spite match. Cap may dodge or block some of Thing's hits but he has zero way of putting him down while Thing will eventually catch him off guard whether a t-clap or stamping the ground to catch him.

Oh hiiiiiiiii God_spawn( the room reference ). He will drown under water won't he? plus there are other posabilities; he came go all the way to the top of the statue of liberty and drop something heavy on the thing the hight might give it enough momentum ( nooooottt) but stranger things things have happened in the world of comics I try to keep an open mind.

Thing wins, far too durable, and much stronger then Captain America.

But yeah if you start thinking about it isn't so much stomp, as it is a win for thing. Steve can doge and he is more nimble, he might not be able to do damage and someone like ben will keep on fighting even with heavy injuries. but steve can maybe even out last him in the stamina department? ( i really don't know) he will put up a fight is all i m saying. plus the shield does give him some form of def.

a draw because of the location. as soon as any damage was done to lady liberty both men would stop in their tracks.

BUT if whatever reason they were both on some real hatred gangster sh*t....I'd actually go with cap. Cap has more than enough experience battling big bad monsters. I love Ben but he's very limited. Hes brute force in a 8-12 foot diameter and totally headstrong. Cap knows that. Cap has been allowed the shield in this battle correct? He'd be picking off Thing from 20 feet away. Over and over again. Yeah ben is going to pick something up big and smack cap with it. But that shield will be in the way and that shield has been hit before by much stronger individuals. I gotta figure cap would use things brute force against him and bring whatever structure is around down on to ben. Cap is faster, smarter, more experience, and strapped with his Shield.

@mtrakos: None of that gives him a win. There isn't anything here to keep Ben down. Even if the statue falls on him I doubt he would be KO'd and there goes Cap;s only chance of doing anything

Caps shield would not affect ben? Getting hit in the face and in the knees over and over again? No cap is going to wear ben down stick and move stick and move. Ben tired, slower than normal, injured and sloppy gets ko by Cap.

Indeed ben wins but it won't be a stomp, like some people say. i just think that cap can last longer than like a minute or 3.it would be fair if he added more variables like bfr or some prep. i think that steve could wear ben down like some said before if he can dodge long enough. his shield is pretty hard.
