I didnt make the thread... And I'm not sure if Link would win, but he's definitely cooler then Cap.

Link has gone up against supposed gods (Ganon) but Caps gone up against massive brutes, like Hulk, and came out victorious.

Link has incredible swordmanship, and good use of a shield; also a massive inventory of weapons (tips the scales to his side a little), is the wielder of the Triforce of courage, is the Hero of Time, and can transform into... a goron, a deku scrub, a zora, and a wolf.

Cap has amazing martial arts skills, is a strategic/tactical genious, has peak human strength, speed, reflexes, and has mastered the use of his indestructible shield.

As I said before Cap's gone up against opponenents where it seems there is no hope for Cap, but he comes out victorious.

I think Link would take him though.

Lets see cap has a shield, Link has a shield And a sword. I rest my case.

And bombs, a bow, a hookshot, a ball n chain, a megaton hammer, invulnerable armor, magic boomerangs etc.

he uses Nayru's Love......he's invincible. Then he casts Din's Fire and Cap is lit on fire......or, god forbid, he uses the Ocarina to go back in time and just kill Cap when he didn't even have the serum.

Link would win for many reasons, here is just a few of them:

1)He has an indestructible shield like Cap's, so they sort of cancel out.

2)He also has an indestructible legendary sword(which can be enhanced with his magic to unleash powerful magical-based attacks), so that's two indestructible items to Caps' one.

2)He has Z-Targeting, giving him incredible reflexes, and makes fighting Cap a lot more convenient.

3)He has Golden Gauntlets that give him Immense Superhuman Strength, much greater than Caps.

4)He has a Myriad of items and magical abilities that Link can use instantly at any time, making this battle seem unfair.

5)He has bottled fairies that will revive him, multiple times, if he were to die. Meaning Cap would have to defeat Link like 6 times in a row just to win.

6)He has the legendary Ocarina of Time, which by itself can do a myriad of different things depending on the song he plays, he can manipulate the weather, even time & space. That Ocarina has got to be one of the most powerful Items in the Universe.

7)He can survive underwater indefinitely.

8)He can survive Intense heat.

9)He can reflect Energy and magic-based attacks with his Mirror Shield

10)He can put on masks that have various effects including becoming a Giant or a deity.

11)He has way more Long-Range Attacks, including Bow and Arrow (With special magical arrows that can freeze, burn, etc)

12)He can block absolutely every single attack Captain America makes with the combination of his shield and Z-targeting.

13)Link never tires, as the only way he will go down is if he runs completely out of HP 6 times.

14)He can hover in the area for a brief time or he change to Iron Boots which allow Link to become very heavy and able to walk on the bottom of the ocean without a problem. He is unaffected by water pressure.

15)He can see through Illusions with the lens of truth

16)He can run with enhanced speed by putting on the bunny mask

17)He has a Horse that he can summon with his ocarina, and shoot Magic Arrows at Cap while on horseback.

18)He can teleport with Farore's wind or the Ocarina of Time

19)He can make himself invincible and invulnerable with Nayru's love

20)He can control whether it's night or day.

21)He has a really powerful Hammer that weights 1,000,000 tons and Link can obviously lift it.

22)He defeated Cloud Strife in a Death Battle

23)He has Navi to tell him Captain America's weakness.

24)I could go on and on, it's ridiculous how many options that Link has to win.

Link wins. Captain America dies laughing.

Why would he laugh?

Link wins for reasons stated above including reason #22: Link would totally beat Cloud Strife in a death battle.

Link solo

Cap would destroy Link. It wouldn't even be a challenge. His shield would block any attacks from any item Link has, and Cap could easily knock the Master Sword out of his hand. The Hylian Shield would also be easy to get rid of. After that it's just Cap beating up on Link. He has much better martial arts skills, he's one of the best strategists in the world, and he can counter any of Link's strategies. Also, Link has no fighting skill without his sword.

Cap gets decapitated.

What a mismatch

Depends of versions. Some Links are absurdly hax (like A Link to the Past), while others like Twilight Princess or (possibly Breath of the Wild?) are a lot more of a realistic fight for 616 Steve Rogers, though even then they have some broken defensive stuff like magic armor/Daruk's protection/fairies/Mipha's Grace.
