Captain America vs a Great White Shark

Location is the shark's natural habitat. Captain America is on the surface to begin with, no swim gear, and no shield.

The shark wants to eat him.

Cap should be able to trick the shark into swallow water near the coast were he has the advantage. All he has to do is stay away from it's mouth. Grab it's fin and hold on for dear life, while he punches it in the back.

Provided Cap doesn't get blindsided he treats that shark like he treated the Nazi sub in First Avenger.

Regular people fend off sharks all the time, no reason a verifiable super soldier can't.

I say Captain gets ripped apart then eaten, he is not taking on a 1500 lbs monster in its own waters.

IF. Captain America is wearing a breathing apparatus (open or closed circuit, either way) AND Cap sees the shark FIRST. Cap wins. His hands would be cut badly but he can keep the jaws from closing (if he times it right), then he can reach over and start ripping out gills. The "go for the eye" thing is a huge HUGE myth. I once saw a great white who had half it's face bitten off, but the eye is SO protected on a white it's eye, even though ALL the flesh around it was scooped out, was still intact.

Cap starts ripping out gills (much easier target) dead shark in short order. Unless, it ambushes him before Cap sees it, then he's dead.

Btw, no one has fended off a Great White in feeding mode on a prey item. Not without getting SERIOUSLY injured, btw.

In MY point of view, Cap has boatloads of feats that puts him above any real life animal, even MCU Cap, even a real life animal as deadly and powerful as a GW. If he's NOT willing to be a good guy that likes to keep it all nice and calm in this fight, the shark is going down one way or another. But of course, it won't be easy, there are some GWs out there that are certainly Mini-Megalodon's.
