Splinter. Only reason Shredder won was due to his stats being boosted by the suit. Watch the scene on YouTube, Splinter waxed that a$$ in pure martial arts.
I love Steve, but I think Splinter was a bit more dangerous.
Considering we saw one short fight, we really don't know enough about Splinter to say he'd beat Steve. Steve looked a lot faster, and showed equal skill in my opinion. Not to mention his physicals seem far superior to Splinters overall.
It's like comparing an established character to one who's appeared in only one comic, we really don't know enough about Splinter to say for sure. Shredder sure as hell wasn't very skilled in that movie.
@granitesoldier: To touch off on what you said, Splinter should be able to give Steve a decent fight based on skill. If he can drop Steve quickly, he may win. But if this gets drawn out, I'd say super serum enhanced superhuman outlasts elderly rat.
I'm getting what you note about Shredder. He got by mostly on his starktech. He isn't the best benchmark to judge Splinter off of and there isn't anything else so there you go. Maybe we'll see him chump Bebop and Rocksteady in the sequel.
