Captain America and Deathstroke vs Batman and Prometheus

Batman and Prometheus vs Deathstroke and Captain America

Two, enhanced, near-meta humans against two highly trained humans.

Morals on, standard gear, standard suits, no vehicles. Battle takes place in The bronx, NYC. A few Bystanders but not a lot of them. No external sources, no aid from others in battle. This battle is assuming that they will both work together.

2 rounds, Round 1: Random Encounter

Round 2: 1 hour of prep

Who wins?

Round 1: I Captain American & Deathstoke take it.

Round 2: Batman & Prometheus win, although it will be rough.

Rd 1 Cap an DS an Rd 2 Bats an Prometheus

Round 1 : Cap and Slade

Round 2 : Cap and Slade too...1 Hour of prep wouldn't be enough for Prometheus and Batman to up against 2 enhanced meta-human...

round 1: cap and slade by a small margin

round 2: bats and prometheus win with ease firstly batman and cap America are on par in a random encounter but with prep batman wins by a large amount secondly prometheus ( probably one of the few dc characters with equal or greater prep skills than batman) would beat deathstroke with ease considering he can go up against high level metas with prep

Batman & Prometheus take both rounds. The fight isn't even fair. Bats has already bested Cap in the comics with 0 prep. And Prometheus undoubtedly has both Cap and Deathstroke on a disc which has been downloaded to his central nervous system. I'm assuming of course that they both count among the world's 30 best fighters - which would merit them a place on the disc. If not, well...same result.

Cap and Deathstroke ftw in round 1....Round 2 could probably go either. I see Slade and Bruces prep time canceling each other and Prometheus prep probably trumps Cap's so I'm leaning towards team 2 in round 2

What is "cannon" is pretty subjective. One could argue that DC did away with a bunch of its cannon this past year with the new 52, but I doubt people are dismissing pre-52 stories in doing this analysis. Prometheus to my knowledge hasn't even made a post-52 appearance.

Now, if you prefer to ignore something the creators have written based on a fan vote, I guess that's a personal choice. As it stands though, I think that carries more weight than the rational of 3-5 people on a message board, don't you?

However, even if I were to concede that Cap isn't on the disc, I find it hard to believe that he's going to pose much of a threat to the equivalent of 30 of DC's greatest fighters. With 0 prep, Cap and Deathstroke get pwned just like Batman was when he first met Prometheus.

@Reignmaker: What is considered Canon in DC and Marvel is depicted officially by those companies. On these forums Crossovers are not considered canon.

If you claim DC vs Marvel was canon then I say Batman won from plot since it was the water that incapacitated him. Not to mention that its all fanboy votes or else how did Logan beat Lobo?

Also in JLA/Avengers Cap took out Prometheus with his 30+ fighter skills.

Pre-52 should be used here, but if ts not Cap has more feats tan all three DC-52 Characters.

Never read it. And Prometheus had his disc inserted? I'm thinking you stretched the facts there. But if you can send me a screen grab, I'll accept that.

@Reignmaker: Not exactly: As you can see, he'd only uploaded Batman's fighting skills(I can't find the next portion of their fight, but it doesn't show how it progresses. Only that Captain America somehow gains the upper hand and defeats Prometheus by bashing him upside the head with his shield).

@XiiX: Thanks, dude. Actually if you're a Cap fan, this makes a good argument that Cap isn't such a pushover after all.

In light of this info, I'll revise my original post calling for a blowout. Rd 1 - Cap and Deathstroke win a close one. Rd 2 - Batman and Prometheus win decisively.

@Reignmaker: Wasn't trying to stretch the facts, turns out as already posted above it was only Batman's skills. So I revise that statement. As for my source about canon it seems to be what I read on these boards. Personally I don't really have an issue with JLA/Avengers but it isn't a great read. As for DC vs Marvel as you already stated fans voted so I have many issue with that series. Not to mention way to many fights in it were form PIS and not actual beatdowns that were actually shown.
