Can Doomsday survive the Penance Stare?

Will it kill him permanently or will he be able to out adapt it?

I think it would be iffy not really from the soul part of it but from the fact he has no concept of the things he does. Would he notice that it happened?

If he doesn't have a soul, it won't work on him.

PS should hurt or even kill Doomsday but not permanently. To permanently kill Doomsday an entity level is required.

If Doomsday even had a soul, DC would come up with some loop hole. Like how he magically obtained fire breathe and beat Martian Manhunter.

If he has a soul it would work but if he doesn't have one,it won't.

If he has a soul it will work...although I am iffy. Seeing how DD is mostly shown as a mindless brute. 
Although, in some issues he has been shown to have sentience, and awareness such as H/P Doomsday, and Doomsday Rex.   
If the PS hurts or kills DD, then he may just come back and some how evolve a defense against it...which is quite the scary thought.  

Just having a soul is not always going to make it an instant win. Madcap loved the penance stare, and begged GR to use it again.

Yes, Doomsday would not only survive it, he'd shrug it off with very little effort.

The baby that Dr. Bertron used to kill multiple times is the soul of Doomsday. The soul is dormant but it is still there and will resurface after gazing upon the Penance Stare.

Yeah, by reviving back with no eyes.

I think it will work on him, but it probably wont stop him, even the first time Superman fought him, he barely had a nervous system that could feel pain. So yes, Doomsday will roar in pain when it happens...but then he punches the Rider in the head. H/P Doomsday might just detach his pain receptors entirely the same way his ears closed up when Superman tried a sonic attack.

It wouldn't. He's programmed to function the way he is, so it should be about as effective as it was on Hulk and Carnage.

You have to have a conscience for the PS to work on you. Which Doomsday does not.

Any proof behind that? Because the world "soul" was never even remotely used and given the fact that the baby had DNA and a physical body which soul doesnt have i am finding it hard to believe.

If DD had a soul to begin with, it was lost after his first death. At that point his soul left the body and all that is left is Doomsday.

@buckwheat: That is speculation. If baby was brought back into then it has soul. So after his experiment was success dd has soul

I tend to look at DD as some sort of Frankenstein's monster. A God forgotten soulless “thing” created in a laboratory.
