Just want to know whether it's at least possible. With prep since batman gets fried in a random encounter. Could he use the justice league robots he created, or boom tube gauntlets, nuke etc
can batman beat iron man?
@jay_z94: Boom Tube?
Batman can beat almost anyone with enough prep, Iron Man included.
Lol Batman with 20 years of prep is still not beating Thor.

Hence the "almost".
Of course he can beat Iron Man with prep!If he beat Superman with it,who's to say he won't beat Iron Man.

Iron man himself.

He's never beaten Superman with prep.
Yes he has.I don't know if he did it in the comics but in Batman:The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 he did.Besides,Batman is ALWAYS prepared for Superman because he always carries Kryptonite in his utility belt.
@thebatman98 Yea that was a movie that had Superman hurt by a nuke. Not saying it was bad but rather a poor representation of Superman's abilities compared to the comics. Kyptonite isn't always a sure fire way to take down Superman. I mean look at Lex Luthor, Metallo and Kryptonite Man.

Dark Knight Returns is non-canon. Canon examples would be Hush and Tower of Babel if anything.
In Hush, Superman was mind controlled by Poison Ivy and Batman technically beat him by using Lois, and in Tower of Babel, it was Batman's plans that worked on Superman, although he didn't execute them himself.

Morals off and he could do it in 5 years.

No, he really could not.
isn't Tony's armor still vulnerable to an emp.
Also couldn't Bruce make a virus to target tony.
He did it to cyborg.
with prep he definitely could. batman would not rest until he figured a way to defeat tony. batman is a better tactician and strategist than tony. tony is better at building armors but batman could lead an army with Sherman or MacArthur or Jackson. so tony has contingencies for a lot of thing. but batmans cup of tea would be figuring a way around those contingencies that tony didn't think of. or turning tony's suit against him. batman gets the respect he gets for a reason

He's never beaten Superman full stop.
Batman would win with probably one days prep. Batman developed a batsuit from Amazo absorption cells which allowed him to replicate the powers of martian manhunter's invisibility , WW lasso of truth, sup's strength and laser beams, flash's speed, and green lantern's power ring. the only downside to the suit is its power consumption. So I think bats would cream Ironman in a straight fight with the suit.
If batman gets the boom tube, can we give Tony the Reality Gem? He did have it at one point did he not? Now, i'm not an expert on the boom tube, but is it more powerful than the Reality Gem?
And given prep, Tony would certainly protect himself from Viruses and EMPs. He is not stupid.
@ndm5: If both have prep it would most likely end in Tony. Also 2 things. 1 While Tony had the reality gem he was later given the space gem and Reed had the reality gem. 2 all of the gems save the time gem are destroyed.
@jay_z94: In this battle I figured it would be fair to say Tony has the gem, or else it would be really one sided.
And i'd say they are fairly similar when it comes to Strategist/Tactician. Tony is no slouch in that department, and I guess I don't know what robots you are referring to :( I have been away from comicvine for a while so you will have to excuse me, a bit rusty lol.
Just going by what I know of both characters, I would lean towards Tony if it came to a "Robot Army" war or something, the man's most recognizable feature is building armors.
If ironman doesn't know that batman is getting ready too fight him then batman wins. Otherwise ironman wins because he has better plans with his suits and wins if he's got prep

Sorry, but if you give any intelligent good guy 5 years prep, they could achieve a non-fatal victory (capture, ko, bfr, surrender) over any other physical being who has no prep.
