Cable (Classic) versus Bullseye

Who?

Where and when?

A war-torn city. Buildings are partially destroyed and the streets are littered with piles of debris, destroyed vehicles and much more. It's 3pm and the location is unpopulated. They begin visible and a block apart.

What?

This is a random encounter and both combatants are in character. This is de-powered Cable. He's armed with a standard assortment of firearms and blades. Bullseye is well armed as well. He has his usual set of projectiles (shurikens, daggers, throwing knives), twin sais and basic firearms. A character loses if they are knocked out, incapacitated or killed.

Why?

A) Cable's durability due to his unconscious telekinetics (as seen against Warmachine, Hulk, etc) and his T-O reinforced skeleton is considerable since the best Bullseye has is small arms.
B) Cable's cybernetic eye and telepathy would give him fore-warning to any projectiles coming his way.
C) Cable's 10 ton strength on his cybernetic arm means he would one-shot Lester up close and he's tagged people with superhuman agility (Deadpool) with ease, so there's that.
 
Depowered Cable might be a better match-up but still not a good one.

Don't forget Cable's ability to shoot lasers out his T-O fingers, not that he'd need it, but still, more fuel for the fire.

And for those claiming it was some kind of an intentional spite, I had "For the sake of balance, his powers are at a bare minimum" for a reason. The implication was that the powers wouldn't be a factor but he would have his gear from that era.

I understand Cable holds the potential to win in close range with his superior strength, but I made this a range battle for a reason. I know in the past Cable dove out of the way of two or so blasts from War Machine, a few from Sinsear, so on and so on, but what has he done to show that he'll be fine dealing with a well armed Lester, a character that has been able to barrage the likes of Captain America (Streets of Poison) and Spider-Man (Peter Parker: Spider-Man) when given a fair amount of distance such as here?

And his durability means he'll likely survive the encounter, but I've never seen him prove immune to such damage before. I fail to see why Lester's attacks would be null and void here.

And to clarify, Bullseye's "basic firearms" include the likes of pistols, shotguns and assault rifles. This is in combination with all of the bladed projectiles he has, as well as whatever the rubble has to offer his hands. Since Cable is modern, his arsenal will now reflect that. He'll have an assortment of pistols, submachine guns and assault rifles.

And one more thing... a spite? Let's try to restrict that term for when a character literally has impossibly difficult odds of winning. I sincerely doubt that's the case here.

Does anyone else think this would be fun to watch or am I apparently crazy for believing it's not a blatant stomp?

Back before cable had all the other mental powers and things, like Classic X-force 28 and before, his power was that he has a bigger gun than you do. On top of that he has MANY years more experience, is at the very least just as skilled in HTH, it would go like this...

They square off, cable gets hit and is hurt but lives, Bullseys has a 1 foot wide smoking hole in his chest.

Classic depowered Cable would lose Bullseye, I don't know why everyone is saying Cable would win. Bullseye skills and aim with a firearms are easily superior to Cable's. Once Bullseye see's Cable, Cable will die. Bullseye has made a car explode with a hub cap, shot a man on a horse full gallop in the eye, deflected a bullet with his hand cuffs and more. I also bet that more then half the people in this thread have read next to nil of classic Cable.

Both are great issues for Lester (DD 181 and his death in Shadowland).
