Bruce's on screen feats do not compare to Thanos. Just calling him God does not automatically win the battle. God in the Bible has not even proven he can beat Satan or Death. Thanos beat everyone. Even if you use the Bible's feats(which you can't because it was not on screen nor proven) God created the Universe and it took him days to do it. Thanos recreated the MULTIVERSE in seconds. Let's keep the Bible out of this. The Morgan Freeman god is a fictional representation of the Christian God, but he is obviously not really God.
The God of the Bible is omnipotent, though, so God obviously wins.
God could easily create a multiverse in seconds, or instantly, also.
But anyway, this is not a debate between the Christian God and Thanos. This is a debate between Bruce Almighty and Thanos. The main question is, How powerful is Bruce Almighty?

Bruce wasn't actually omnipotent even after God gave him his powers. He was unable to make his girlfriend fall in love with him and God (Freeman) only gave him a portion of New York to answer prayers too instead of the entire world and found that tough. Bruce is a nigh-omnipotent. If Thanos with HOTU is omnipotent then he should win.
The reason Bruce couldn't make his girlfriend fall for him, was plainly because of the strict rule not to mess with free will.
That directly contests being omnipotent. If it were just a rule Bruce would have been able to do it by simply breaking the rule but he was completely incapable of doing so. So he can't be omnipotent as he couldn't break the rule nor could he get her to fall in love with him.
The guy did what ever he wanted with a thought,,had a major threat presented itself he would dismiss it with a thought just like TOAA,,,, he just lacks major battle feats because its a comedy...anything he thought happened,,if Thanos showed up,all scary looking he woul freak out and banish him with a thought

Was it ever stated that Morgan Freeman was Bible God specifically? Did he say in the movie that he actually created the universe? I can't remember. Nevertheless Even Bible God feats pale in comparison to Thanos. It took God days just to create the universe. A whole day just to create one human. Thanos recreated the MULTIVERSE. Bruce demonstrated only low level reality altering power. He did nothing on the scale of Franklin Richards, Galactus or even Odin.
@pooty: Thanos actually only destroyed one universe (Earth 4321) rather than a multiverse, but he did kill and recreate a being who is megaversal (i.e. LT) alongside other abstracts. I agree with everything else you said.

Thanos (without the HOTU) instantly turned a skrull into stone. Does that mean he can turn Galactus into stone? If a person shows low level reality manipulation does that automatically mean they can manipulate reality on a large scale? If we don't use feats, all we have is speculation, assumptions and unproven opinions.
Turning a skull into stone is more a manipulation of matter than reality so that's not the best example,,but sometimes an argument must be made with out feats,,when the what if comic of hulk herald of galactus came out that hulk was featless but if you give world breaker hulk the power cosmic he's very dangerous, but with no feats does that mean he will lose to puck? I don't think so,,god (Morgan freeman) stated when I leave you will be endowed with all of my powers..meaning he can do anything that god can do. Some times all you can do is speculate,,especially in this fight cause the op decided to pit Thanos against a guy from a comedy movie with no real violence
As an atheist, I won't carry any ridiculous religious baggage into this, and Thanos' feats crap all over bruce's. And in the end, feats are all that matter in a fictional verse fight.
Bruce's best feats was to remove stars by wiping them off the sky and create new ones instantly. The rest were some pretty minor reality warping, however GOD himself stated that Bruce was endowed with ALL his powers, enough said. Bruce will make a monkey come out of Thanos's crack.
Bruce Almighty was a movie. Stop referring to what we know about God from the Bible. All feats for this battle come from a comic book Thanos and a movie Bruce Almighty. If the Op wanted us to use Bible god he would have made this: Thanos vs Bible God. Bruce Almighty regardless of his godhood has only low level reality feats. Not just Bible, every religious text says so. They are texts written by people as well. What proof do you have that Thanos created/recreated the multiverse? None. None at all. I'm not debating about the God from movie. If you see my first comment, and any one after that, I've been stating real God.
