Broly vs Kid Buu
This topic is locked from further discussion.
broly in a curbstomp, unless this is anime kid buu who destroyed a full galaxy, while broly destroyed most of one.
Kid Buu blows up the Earth.
Broly goes in hibernation mode.
Kid Buu blows up Broly's unconscious body.
Broly is always blood lusted and so is kid buu, they both don't have morals so... I'm going with kid buu due to regeneration. Broly is a beast but not beating rengeneration.
"Is this topic serious? Kid Buu all day everyday. And Broly never destroyed an entire galaxy. "
This
" @spidey 15: Reason? "Broly lost to a bunch of SSJ1s. Kid Buu was pretty even with a SSJ3 Goku. He also has more powers like his candy beam, regeneration, and absorption, not that he'll need them that much.

Broly did return though, if i remember

I was going to make a comment saying Kid Buu stomps, because that's obvious to those that aren't brain damaged, but then I saw that your comment was the only one made this year, so now I'm just curious what you mean by "Its Official!!!"
I mean, the only new DBZ thing I've seen today is the new trailer for Battle of the Gods, which is awesome btw, but it has a distinct lack of Kid Buu and Broly which makes it pretty irrelevant to this thread.
Broly did indeed destroy a galaxy. I'd guess Broly since while Buu can regenerate, he doesn't get stronger. Broly will keep getting stronger since Saiyans get faster and more powerful the more they partipate in combat. Buu is powerful but his putty like body can get blasted apart relatively easily. Broly can keep blasting him. Buu keeps regenerating. Buu will keep hurting Broly. Broly will keep recovering. Eventually the battle will reach a point where the Saiyan nature of Broly will allow him to reach a level where he can put Buu away permanently. Conversely whatever level Buu is at, he's pretty much stuck there.
Broly had the edge over SS2 Gohan, but Fat Buu completely dominated SS2 Vegeta. SS2 Vegeta>SS2 Gohan. And since Kid Buu is stronger than Fat Buu, we have a clear winner.

SS2 Vegeta, however can still damage Buu enough to destroy his body. That's the key. Broly at least can generate enough energy to force Buu to regenerate his entire body. The longer the fight lasts, the stronger Broly becomes.
Recall the end of the fight when Vegeta went all out to try and destroy Fat Buu. He destroyed his body, Vegeta died then Fat Buu just regenerated. Brolly could do the same thing except he wouldn't have to die. Buu regenerates. Brolly does it again. Broly's reserves of Ki doesn't deplete like Vegeta's. Moreover as a Saiyan this constant battle will just keep making him stronger.

True, the Legendary Super Saiyan does not have a finite limit on his power. Potentially, he can grow to levels well exceeding Buu.
However, with the power difference right from the get-go, it will take a long time for Broly to close that gap, time that Kid Buu won't alot him.

Why are we having this debate. We all know Nail would waist Buu and Broly's smug asses!

By not taking their coats.
But seriously, Kid Buu was messing up SS3 Goku pretty badly. Maybe if Broly was super intelligent and Buu fought like a moron, then maybe, maybe he'd stand a small chance. But really though, this is a DBZ vs DBZ thread, it's pretty easy to just power scale this out and go by power level.

Yes, he was stomping a bunch of SSJ1s and then lost to some PIS super-punch. He would also probably stomp SSJ3 Goku. And he did destroy a galaxy, what the fuck, did you guys even watch his movie rofl? It shows the galaxy being obliterated. Not every single planet, star, and solar system obviously because that would take years, but it shows and explicitly states that Broly single handedly destroyed the entire South Galaxy.
Buu stomps though
@nickzambuto:
My point also hinges on the fact that while Buu can regenerate quickly, he's not very durable. A SS2 level person can blow up large chunks of Buu easily.

Yes, you're absolutely right. That's why I also referenced Broly's Saiyan nature. As a Saiyan, exposure to combat naturally increases his combat abilities. As the LSSJ his Ki continues to increase. Together they let him continue to gain more power against Buu who can just regenerate nonstop. So even with the cap on his ki, this fight will make his cap go higher.

Not quite. SS2 Vegeta was pretty useless against Fat Buu, it was only after he let out all his power in a furious self destruction, completely letting all his ki out at once did he do any amount of damage to Fat Buu. An attack like that would probably take out Broly as well.

It wasn't PIS or a super punch. Goku had enough energy from Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks to one shot Broly. It's that simple. They gave Goku their energy, he crunked Broly, plain and simple.

Goku also punched Broly in the scar from the stab he recieved as a baby and reopened the wound for extra damage. It was super effective.

Saiyans have the potential to surpass buu but they need a zenkai. Based on feats Broly loses. He doesn't increase power. When he said his ki was overflowing he released ki and started panting implying that he was tired. If his power was limitless he wouldn't have lost in either showing. In both movies he fights people he is all ready stronger than. And if his power is limitless he wont reach levels beyond kid buu before kid buu kills him.

That is stupidity. Induced by the plot.
If it were that simple they could just do that to every villain that collectively stomps them. It was a stupid nonsensical way to give the good guys the win. Also, by that point they were all pretty much dead, thus lacking in energy. It was incredibly stupid.

Usually it does require a collective effort such as Vegeta's first arrival requiring Yajirobe cutting off Vegeta's tail and Gohan's Oozaru. Or Cell requiring everyone's full effort.
It's cool and all for sure, but does it make sense? No... as I said, they were all pretty much dead. Also, Broly survived this. The main reason for its ridiculousness I suppose is because it came out of nowhere...
Broly was in clear command of the battle against the Z-Fighters just before the Cell Games. There's no doubt, that without that PIS punch, he would have killed them. There's also no doubt then from his showing against them that he is above Perfect Cell and SSJ2 Gohan. This makes his next logical opponent in the saga Buu, however I feel that Kid Buu simply has too much versatility.

Against Vegeta that wouldn't have worked because by the time the others got there Goku was too wounded to do much. They tried this against Frieza before Goku used the spirit bomb and it wasn't enough. Against Cell Goku wanted a 1v1, and during Gohan and Cell's kamehameha battle they basically did do that, they just focused their energy on attacking Cell instead of amping Gohan. Against Buu they combined their energy via the spirit bomb.
So basically, that's standard operating procedure for them when they aren't having 1v1 battles due to CIS.

Not once in the entire fight did he tag damage during the first movie. Not once. He even stated that he was becoming more powerful. He was just being lame. Movie ends with some random crap about Goku some how wounding him and the teleporting everyone away somehow???? That Brolly lives through and sleeps and survives of his own powers for like what 7 years!!!!! Before coming to earth and Going right back into battle? He didn't sleep. He didn't eat. For 7 years max. 5 years least before making his way to earth, how? He just knew? Then he lost to SS2 Gohan and SS1 Goten with the Spirit of SS1 Goku? Why? Who knows. He just suddenly was over powered for no reason at all. It just happened and people claim it was something to do with the dragon balls.
Brolly never took Damage once in both his first fights. Movie two, he wasn't serious until the very end and he lost for completely unexplainable reasons. He blew planets way faster than Kid Buu and with much greater ease. So there energy out put is the exact same. He dodge SS1 Goku, Piccolo post reunite and SS1 Trucks while standing one one foot. He's the faster of the two. He KO'd SSj1 Vegeta in a move. Kid Buu could not do this to Base Vegeta.
Brolly should crush in this. He only lost because of PIS. Simple as that.
Ok so Broly is a legit Galaxy buster. There's no way that some one capable of destroying a galaxy wouldn't be able to damage Buu. Since Broly has inexhaustable Ki he can just keep atomizing Buu. Buu will continue to regenerate until the Saiyan penchant for evolving from battles allows Broly to do a blast fully capable of putting down Buu for good.
The only other explanation that was suggested is that Broly was destroying stars one by one. In that case, Buu won't be able to tag Broly anyway.
