William Wallace is determined to breach the walls of Mooredoor. He rises the morale of his army with a heartening speech, but will it be enough to breach the defenses of Boromir and his 300?
Boromir leads the 300 to protect Mooredoor vs William Wallace
5,000 and he has the same equipment as he had in the movie. How many troops does Wallace have, here? Does everyone have fairly standard equipment?
Remember though, they have to squeeze into the door where Boromir and the 300 are guarding.
Is Wallace tactically and strategically smarter than those who lead the Persian arm against the 300?
Haha i thought you'd just spelled Mordor wrong - nice fight arena.
Boromir and the 300 win. Like you say the Scots would have to squeeze through the door which is exactly what the Spartans want them to do.
And with Boromirs horn (the one round his neck) giving them confidence and King Lionidis in the ranks of the other Spartans i think they'll definately win. their armour is far superior and i'd even go as far as saying their weapons would be stronger.
Boromir and the Spartans win.
Wallace wins. The Spartans depend upon the Phalanx for their survival, and in Wallace's time the Phalanx was obsolete because people figured out how to beat it. A man such as Wallace, who was educated heavily in military tacitcs, would know how to beat a phalanx.

Yes, but the Spartans from 300 were extremely fictionalized and, arguably, superhuman.
Those Spartans would slaughter the Scots, even if they were outnumbered 17-to-1.

Not really. It's not that the 300 were superhuman, it's more that the people they fought in that movie were severely stupid. The formations, tactics and equipment they faced in that movie were stupendously bad. Persia's army wasn't designed to fight againsted foes wielding steel, hell most of them were carrying wicker shields. Anyone would look superhuman compared to that. Even so the 300 still had causalities. Have the 300 facing foes that were better equipped and smarter would be a much different story. Scots>>>>>>>>>persian slave soldiers.

Methinks you are trying to apply real world tactics/historical fact to a battle between two fictionalized armies.
In reality, Wallace lived 1700 years or so after the Battle of Thermopylae. As you said, his army's tactics and equipment would be superior to the Spartans. They would win easily.
But this battle does not involve the historical Wallace and his Scots or the historical Leonidas and his Spartans. It involves their movie counterparts (I assume, since that is what is pictured).
Watch the 300 movie again. It is, in no way, shape, or form, based on reality. The Spartans in that movie certainly perform superhuman deeds.
They face Tolkien-esque elephants for god sake! One even brings down a rhino with a single spear throw! And the number of opponents that each Spartan kills in the open field is staggering.
The point is, those Spartans are based on Miller's comic book. Highly fictionalized.
They would absolutely crush the Scots. And, to make matters worse, the Spartans are being led by Boromir, one of the greatest Men in all of Gondor.
Side Note .... scots win ... brave heart is no dummy and would catch the building on fire ... he has done so in the past why not now?
Sean Bean dies in everything
And the very reason for the 300 movie was for them all to die in the end
The other guy wins lol
The only movie he survived in was Silent Hill@buttersdaman000 said:
