Booster Gold wins. Not only can he get out of range of anything Gambit throws, but he can blast him.

And he has his forcefield.

I believe in Gambit, I think the force fields, flight and blasters are an advantage. But Gambit is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter, agile and I think he can outsmart Booster Gold.

@Mr. Mercury: He's stronger, faster, can fly, his force fields have been able to take a hit from Doomsday before, his visor will prevent any kind of hiding from Gambit, and Gambit's agility won't be much of a factor with Booster's gauntlets either.

@Sexy Merc:  I still think Gambit can win. The amount of powers aren't always the deciding factor.

@LightBright:  I haven't read the last three issues yet...but
Gambit! Gambit! Gambit! I see him winning this match.

Remember Booster doesen't have Skeet and that is something he needs when it comes to serious strategy. Gambit is a strategic and crafty fighter, he is not going down because Booster has flight, blasters and force fields.

@Mr. Mercury: Booster's definitely been stepping up his game. Even without Skeets I see him winning because he has been able to take down his fair share of villains in the past. He's also dealing with Max Lord at the moment, and has been pretty essential in getting Justice League International back on its feet. He's not just all looks anymore. xP

Gambit may be strategic, but he's outmatched.

@LightBright: These last three issues have been developing his character huh? Last I read was when he went back in time to prove Max Lord existed. Damn!I need to pick those issues up, I don't know why I haven't!

@Mr. Mercury: Ever since 52 his character's been developing. Yeah, he's been exploring that more in Gen Lost. In his title he's focused more on his ridiculous adventures with Blue Beetle.

You definitely have to read them. The last one was absolutely hilarious. Ted and Booster are so great together.

@LightBright:  In my opinion Booster Gold is highly underrated, but I still think Gambit would win this match.

Booster Gold could blow him out the water, but so can Gambit. It depends how they fight on that day and Gambit is not going to get KO'd that easily, if at all.

@Mr. Mercury: I'm kind of glad he's not getting too much attention. I'd hate for him to become another Deadpool.

Gambit just doesn't have the right abilities to take on Booster and win. After all, we're talking about a guy who fights the Royal Flush Gang on a regular basis. He's used to beating down guys who use the whole card theme. :P He has a better chance of winning because he could outlast Gambit.

@Mr. Mercury: I can't read any mainstream Marvel titles. The closest I've gotten to Marvel is Millar's Nemesis.

Booster's gotten some really solid writing. Dan Jurgens was always great (hope he comes back soon) and the current team of Keith Giffen and J.M. Dematteis are fantastic. DC always has strong writers.

When I first read Booster Gold I was shocked it was written really well. He actually got me deeper into DC. :)

@Mr. Mercury: It's kind of sad to see them it such a state. Spider-Man was and still is my favourite hero even though I don't read his stuff anymore. He's the reason I got into comics.

For a while he was the only DC title I read. Now he's my current favourite. I have to put together enough money to buy some more TPBs and back issues. All so great.

Gen Lost, Brightest Day, Secret Six, Emerald Warriors, and maybe Flash. I'm on the fence with that one. You?

@LightBright:  LOL! Not literally, it'll probably be like Second Coming or AoA. It's the goal of the antagonist, but only the characters they want to get rid of die.  But that was an article posted on a website, it could be fake. And they talked about a Jubilee & Wolverine one shot, I'm a fan of Jubilee, but again Marvel is lagging in their work.

Secret Six, Red Hood, Red Robin, Outsiders, Teen Titans, X Factor, Curse of The Mutant (The fourth issue at the very end, finally picked up. Let's see where it goes in the next one), Daken, New Mutants, Wolverine, Titans, Invincible (just picked up for the first time). Those are the ones that come to mind.

@Mr. Mercury: Good characters fade and get lost, and then suddenly become super popular and annoying. They don't seem to be able to find any balance.

Secret Six is great. I had to put down Outsiders when Batman got involved, but I'm thinking about picking up Red Robin. I like the Teen Titans current roster, but I'm probably gonna pick up the Superboy title when it comes out instead. Love Invincible, but I'm too far behind. I need to pick up the Collections now. I can never really get into any of the X titles. I liked X-Factor for a while when Madrox was running it and tried X-Force for a while, but that's it.

Not very well.

Didn't Doomsday (in the same almost weakest version and with armor stuff holding him back) also hit Blue Beetle without killing him?

I'd hardly say Booster Gold has durability to take Doomsday level hits without having problems.  Still, they can probably stand up to anything Gambit can dish out.  Probably.

Classic Gambit will lose it. New Sun is probably the only one version that will win with BG.

By that logic, Ted Kord's skin was strong enough to survive a hit from Doomsday and therefore, he must be bulletproof and there's no way Gambit can hurt him.

I'm sorry but I don't see Booster Gold surviving hits from Doomsday as a feat.  That's plot.

Yeah, I said a hit though. No doubt that if Doomsday continued to attack him, his shields would have been done in the next 2 punches.

Ted didn't get beat up by Doomsday as it turns out.  I was remembering Doomsday beating up Booster after breaking through his force field.  I remember reading it and thinking it was crap.  "Like Booster's force field can't stand up to Doomsday but then Doomsday takes several hits to KO Booster?  Laaaaame."   I also don't see Doomsday doing anything in these scans that puts him faster than say...Batgirl let alone the Flash.
