Pakku was toying with Katara when they fought. Why do you think she's better at h2h combat than him?

The White Lotus geezers outclass the younger benders in experience and physical fitness. I doubt that there's anything that the younger benders can do that the older ones can't replicate(aside from Toph and metal bending obviously).

Did Iroh ever actually display he could use lightning? Though it's reasonable to assume he could, I just want to know.

He taught zuko to use lightening (Don't remember the episode). And he's the only one who has redirected sky lightening on-screen (The storm). Iirc he's basically the one who invented lightening bending by studying.. water benders, I think?

@dratini1331: He redirected lightening directly from the sky, not from other benders, in the episode where they tell about zuko and aang's past, and zuko has a fight with his officer.

I assumed this was supposed to be at the end of the series when Katara was a much better Waterbender (obviously no Sozins comet).

@cpt_nice: If you want my very honest opinion yes. She can defend against his lightning, she has more veraatality, more mobility, almost as good raw power etc. I've said it many times before. Ozai is overrated IMO. If we go strctly by what the creators were intenting to show us then he would win, but I'm never going by that logic personally. Character statements are so often extremely off. Especially when it comes to hype.

I mean, the whole Gaang by Eos were UNSURE if they could beat a non-amped Ozai? Come on.

The Red Lotus can beat anyone individually? Tenzin there. The Avatar exists too.

And Zhao is a master Bender that they even thought of comparing to the Firelord?

Aang was losing his sleep training in order to beat Ozai without his freaking bending during the Eclipse?

Bumi solo's 2 members of team 2 and the other gets stomped in a 2v1.
