Interesting how none of you bothered to post how hal wins. And couldn't BM break hals construct. Also how would hal tank anti-matter. I think alot of people just hate bm cause he is so strong.

No, King1_icon is the guy who always makes battles with black people, then accuses us of not liking the character, because he's black, when we don't agree that he wins.

Do you even know who BM is? I thought that after the BM vs cheetah thread more people would know who he is and thats why i made this. Do you want me to post scans or something? Im not saying he wins or looses but you guys are not even posting reason on how Hal wins, then you say BM does not have the feats?

New 52 Hal Jordan's constructs couldn't stand up to the Superman of 5 years ago (pre-Earth bench-press feat), and got his a$$ handed to him by New 52 Wonder Woman - two characters with comparable physical strength levels to Blue Marvel. Add in the fact that Blue Marvel projects Anti Matter and can manipulate sub-atomic particles (a feat achieved through his Anti-Matter abilities), and I think he can take New 52 Hal.

Scans for GL proving otherwise? Can Hal beat Superman now?

Blue Marvel's best feats were fighting (and losing to) Sentry & cracking a moon with a medallion. At the moment, he's mostly hype, not feats.

lol you made me blush. But demon knights dont start with that. I know this is going to lead with blue marvel fans being called fanboys for arguing in his favor. He is a new character and does not even have a big fanbase. Now because Kingant27 argued in BMs favor does not mean you can start the labeling already. If the word fanboys gets thrown around to much for fans of a character that just starting to gain fame then ill derailed this thread until it gets close. Demonknights should know how good I am at derailing my own threads.

Would you say BM combat speed is faster than Hals...i think it is, since hal usually just floats there and make constructs.

@king1_icon: I have only read New 52 GL in the Justice League books, and up to the Black Lantern's appearance in the New 52 GL series. Unless he upgraded since then, I don't think his combat speed is super, enhanced, or anything beyond his human brain's ability to react and concentrate (to hold his constructs together).

Let his fans post scans as the debate goes on. However, in ComicVine, a Marvel character winning = low post count.

BM takes care of his constructs fairly easily, (he could do so without the anti matter, not with ease but he could) and there is NO way Hal can stand up to him in a physical battle. I'm hoping a level headed GL fan can answer without a total freak out lol. I've always liked lantern, just thought he was a product of bad writing so I cant get into him. Should I start with New52???

I got into a debate with a guy about Avengers vs Justice League and,because I thought that an argument could be made for either side,he literally came to the conclusion that "I must be new" and brought up my relatively lower post count which.....holds literally no relevance to the debate.

Sometimes I hate this site.

It would be a closer fight with only New 52 Hal, but I still feel he'd come out on top due to his versatility.

Anyway,I say Hal can win until I'm swayed otherwise. It seems to be really close,though.

lol I'm so glad that I'm not the only one in this boat. I swear,it's like more than half of this site is made up of opinionated kids that see everything as some sort of f*cking competition. And don't even think about having a different opinion in a debate or discussion (For example,in a Superman vs Thor debate,don't DARE argue in favor of Thor's side,lest you will be mocked).

Now for the common knowledge reasons why most people are just saying "Hal, versatility". (Yes, it's dumb, but understandable seeing as most of those who've posted as such have experience with Hal vs bruiser powerhouse threads.)

@comicninjax: How often is Blue Marvel going to use molecular manipulation in a stand up fight? For the vast minority that he does, why do you think Hal will be unable to defend against it when Green Lanterns have previously shown durability against matter manipulators?

Hal has taken point blank explosions that have dwarfed nuclear strikes and has output to put nuclear strikes to shame.

As nice of feats as lifting a speeding Arkansas and potentially splitting the moon with a medal are, they're not exactly combat applicable, are they?

For the last of my small rebuttals, Blue Marvel's antimatter -yes, it is one word- is very seldom used in combat. In fact, I'd request that any one of the Blue Marvel supporters post one such antimatter usage combat feat so that Hal supporters can judge it and see if they think it will be applicable to this fight.

The problem is that, well.....this is just how it is on this site, particularly the battle forums. If a popular character is getting a lot of votes in a Battle thread and someone comes along saying that the opposing character wins, you will get a dogpile of users criticizing the individual for having the "Wrong" opinion (Because it somehow matters to them so much that they need to prove others wrong on the Internet.) I've seen experienced users have a field day going at inexperienced users, with the inexperienced user struggling to have to reply to them all at once and ultimately just becoming overwhelmed and giving up. I'm not saying that all experienced users are guilty of indulging in childish behavior, but I've seen some of the more "Experienced" debaters act not only blatantly disrespectful but also borderline stubborn by delivering insults, passive aggressive comments, etc.

I can understand being fiercely competitive and starting debates, but I can do without some of the opinionated users out there that have to ostracize people who hold different opinions then they do. More often than not, it just makes them look like douches rather than highly respected debaters.
