Ted Kord/Blue Beetle versus Norman Osborn/Green Goblin?
They are both CEOs of their companies, Oscorp and Kord Industries, and they were both created or designed by Steve Ditko. Kord is like a powerless Peter Parker. When his friend, the original Blue Beetle, died Kord promised to be the new Blue Beetle. But when the Scarab didn't work he still felt the responsibility. They are also both genius inventors who use high tech weapons and vehicles they designed in their battles.
How about this scenario, The location is the merged world of DC and Marvel where Kord Industries and Oscorp both exist in the same world. Osborn even tries to take Kord's company. The Mad Men carry Blue Beetle's limp body into Green Goblin's layer saying something about the Goblin being their new boss. Beetle stops playing possum saying "Thats all I needed to hear." He quickly knocks out the Mad Men and gets his gun back. And then the battle stars.
