I don't think Barragan wins no matter what.

Gremmy should win in theory but Yamamoto has a good chance considering Gremmy lost to Kenpachi. If Gremmy doesn't insta kill Yamamoto and Yama goes all out then I could see Yamamoto burning Gremmy to Death and wiping Barragan out of existence.

faulty logic. Because

a. Yama's flames are made of reitsu blown at incredible pressure. There's no kido or reitsu or any such Barragan cannot age. Therefore, Yama's "flames" are not helping him survive Barragan.

b. Yama's own soul will age and rot until theres nothing left.

Unlike Yama, Barragan does not need to contact in order to vanquish something.

Barragan had that same power against three lesser opponents and it didn't help him, Yamaji will obliterate Barragan, lets not forget Barragan was afraid of Aizen, Aizen basically admitted in a head up fight against Yamaji he would likely not win, I don't see what chance Barragan has here. If Gremmy is as dumb against Yamaji as he was against Kenpachi he loses as well, if not jobbing Gremmy takes it due to hax.

feats > hype. Yamaji has no feat coming even close to the level of kido the vizard had. Even if Yamaji might be capable of the same, feats, mindsets and feats don't relate to a second character.

Barragan lost to opponents far below Yamaji, Yamaji will roast him especially once he goes bankai, his sword completely erases anything it touches from existence, so your theory about aging fire/reiatsu is far beneath implied power, can you show Barragan doing that? if not and I don't recall Barragan ever doing such then even mentioning feats is meaningless.

Fake karakura town arc. Hachi gen locked baragan in kido and soi fong fired her bankai at him. Explosion did damage and proved that baragans aging tech isnt instantanous.

Yamaji has no such kido feat capable of blocking Respira.

Now, even if it's fire, Yamaji cannot keep burning infinitely without reiryoku, something Barragan has been shown to age.

I see you ignored my post, so I'll put it this way Barragan has done nothing to suggest he can handle Yamaji's Shikai let alone Bankai he may be able to rot Hachi's shields and that is all well and good but you seem to have overlooked an important aspect of reiatsu based abilities, those with lesser reiatsu cannot effect those who have greater reiatsu as Aizen demonstrated when Sui-Feng attempted to use her shikai/death touch on him.

Now are you going to argue that Barragan has greater reiatsu than Yamaji?

Yama's bankai is too powerful, capable of destroying the Seireitei just by being released for a long period of time. The 'North' part will kill them if the heat doesn't. He doesn't have to get close.

Also, Yama himself wasn't able to dodge his bankai, a exact clone of Yhwach with blut vene wasn't able to dodge it or take it head on.

I'm backing Gremmy

Gremmy was an unfortunate addition to this battle in my opinion, if he isn't losing for plot reasons he will stomp outright and it becomes a spite thread a non jobbing Gremmy doesn't have a whole lot to fear short of Juha Bach.

I would say Gremmy lost on CIS (Character induced stupidity). He's unskilled with his powers because no one would/could challenge him. Making him a recycled Kenpachi (unskilled & over powered) for Kenpachi.

Also that is his only showing so CIS is in character to a degree.

Which is why including him is pointless, if he is going to be CIS like he was vs Kenpachi he isn't beating old man Yama in my opinion so the conclusion is the same.

@devil_driver: I still believe Gremmy could win even going off what's been shown(feats) and CIS\PIS. For instance can Barragan and Yamamoto breathe in space or tank space like conditions similarly to what happen to Kenpaichi while in combat with the visionary.

@devil_driver: For a thread on bleach absolutes how would he not be included. Keep in mind every character here died form their own powers.

If Gremmy isn't going full stupidity mode I 'd say he wins easily.
I mean the fact the Barragan in res is a skeleton just makes it an auto lose.

As for Yama, While I don't think Gremmy could think of something greater then his flames. He could instead simply imagine the Bankai away.

If Gremmy is jobbing he isn't beating Yamma if Kenpachi can defeat him the old man can do so as well, I know Kenpachi has received a power boost since the beginning of the Wandenreich invasion in fact most of the characters have, but I still don't put him on Bankai Yama level.

Yamamoto died because he was ambushed/tricked by Yhwach, he was fighting Royd Loyd disguised as Yhwach and believed he was fighting the real deal, after he killed the disguised Royd the real Yhwach showed up out of nowhere and killed the old man after stealing his Bankai, so how did he die from his own power exactly? I would say he died in spite of his power not because of it.

If Yama is in shikai, he's vulnerable to Gremmy's direct effect since he doesn't transcend captains so his spiritual pressure may not be in the range of negating a body manipulation. So he'd lose in shikai, in bankai, his reiatsu would likely negate the visionary and would limit Gremmy to only creating, destroying and altering anything besides Yama, the old man would have the advantage. Why is Baraggan here tho? Yamaji burns him to a crisp with the use of his elemental reiatsu without even releasing his shikai, and Gremmy imagines him as an actual lifeless skeleton.

Gremmy is so ridiculously stupid I am shocked anyone is willing to argue for him in-character against bankai Yama. Yamamoto wins gremmy second and barragan third.

Funny thing is, it’s actually out of character for Gremmy to job.

in character, he killed 2 captains and turned a lietenant’s bones to cookies.
